Surely the main issue for BKY is whether the result will impact on the projects being advanced. Podemos are anti nuclear but then Berkeley is not building a reactor. Would Podemos advance an argument that uranium should not be mined at the expense of the number of additional employees will be employed? Podemos might scrutinise the H & S issues more intensely but surely the authorities would ensure that the correct procedures are in place anyway.

Kirk - it is a bit of a mess frankly, looking a bit like Italy. Neither the socialists nor the conservatives can form governments without the support of the regional minority parties. It is hard to see a Grand Coalition (PP plus Socialists) being formed and if it does lasting any length of time with both Podemos and Ciudadanos opposing it. Whichever coalition gets cobbled together it is hard to see it holding for long. New elections within twelve months? We will find out if Rajoy has managed to form a coalition by mid January.

Captain James T Kirk.

You clearly love living in the past. Yeah Leyshon wasn't great but the only issue here is will this share price fly or not. Looks like we've got a resource, looks like the locals are keen on us for bringing employment to a depressed region looks like the market is picking up . What's not to like?

I'm very suspicious of the CEO after the Leyshon debacle where incidentally Middlemas was a major shareholder and previously a director.
In the attached video, I find the response to the permit question at around 18.30 mins as strange:

We need Sunday's elections out of the way and the start of the new Australian tax year for starters. Next would be a good update from the company early in the New Year.

Whilst I understand that the COO M Bellon is very good at his job, the CEO's delivery style on interview and I guess at presentations is not one that endears me; too much like that of a salesman on a stall in a market selling watches.

To virtually invite the interviewer to agree with him at the end of a point is not good practice imo. Prospective investors want facts and figures upon which they can make a judgment not what imo one gets. I may be being over critical but a tidy on presentation skills up prior to the Proactive presentation on 14th January 2016 perhaps?

This is a good project and the company has indicated that there is interest from financiers. Hopefully there will be institutional backing.

herlat - thank you for the correction. Good to see that some were picking up stock at 21.2 today If all that we have been told is correct this stock is undervalued. Worthwhile continuing to remind ourselves that Ian Middlemas did very well for shareholders at Mantra.

Snowyflake agree on all except your comment on permitting - the Company has stated that it has all the permits to commence construction in June. My understanding is that construction permit relates only to the process plant which is a compliance certificate ie like a gas hot water heater and has no bearing on anything else.

fatboy - agreed. Further more BKY is dual listed and the Australian tax year runs to 31 December. Some of those in Australia with profits have quite possibly sold to bank the profits in the current tax year. From what I have read the company is due to update the market in early 2016.

I have also read that with the number of nuclear power plants under construction, uranium will become in shorter supply; the price therefore per pound will increase. The major further permit that the company requires before construction is the construction permit which will not be issued prior to the DFS being released (anticipated in May 2016).

As far as the elections are concerned imo job creation will come ahead of the anti-nuclear lobby. The elections will be out of the way shortly. What we do not know is whether the company will have further resource once further prospecting is done. That leaves the financing; equity debt off takes? There may well be dilution but then if there is good news which warrants a share price advance the number of new shares hopefully will be at a higher price.

As you say let us wait until the new year.

Yeah
I'm not interested in peoples squabbles. I'm convinced that this one is gonna be a 10 bagger and the Paris agreement in effect limiting fossil fuel use can only be positive. Let's hunker down for the festive break and await developments in the New Year!

@GWR7, Quepassa and Langostino can you girls take your playground squabbles elsewhere? This thread was until recently a pleasant backwater discussion on an interesting stock of which we remain (optimistic) holders - despite the dreadful market conditions for small AIM stocks. Thanks!

I've checked the Avanti thread and contrary to what QuePassa says, I had one post removed/moderated. The only other post I made to the thread, 1331, is still there. So there you are, two posts in two years and one moderated.
The post that QuePassa is smug about me getting moderated for was a dig at his alter ego (emphasis on the second word) michaelmouse who is defensive after tipping Avanti. In my moderated post I referred to Avanti as a mickey mouse company and questioned what had gone wrong with michaelmouse that caused him to get involved in so many petty and defensive arguments on the threads nowadays. I think my post being moderated for that reflects badly on the thread author rather than me and I must say I find it rather amusing. Perhaps he was upset about me calling his investment mickey mouse, or else the thread author is another QP avatar. So QuePassa is throwing mud at me from a thread he's never contributed to under the name QuePassa, though he does contribute as michaelmouse. He has form at that game.

michaelmouse first called me a troll on the BVM thread, another mickey mouse company he tipped then sold after a profit warning. There was the trademark mickey mouse spat which blew over but the odd thing was that QuePassa later dredged it up on the APF thread despite never having contributed (under that avatar) to the BVM thread, although he does contribute as michaelmouse (do you see a pattern emerging?), thus prompting my comment:

Interesting you should draw on a post from the BVM thread QuePassa. Did you forget it's your alternative avatar michaelmouse that posts on that one? Spooky!

Since then I called another michaelmouse tip, Audioboom, a mickey mouse company and who should pop up soon after to have a go at me, despite never having posted under that avatar on the thread before? (though he does contribute as michaelmouse) Why, it was QuePassa. That's right, it has become boring.
I suggest you make you're next avatar 'Hypocrite' michael.

Beware.

GWR7 is a troll.

He recently has suffered the ignominy of having his posts removed and moderated on the Avanti thread.

Langostino the EU, the Spanish authorities have already issued the Mining Licence and the Nuclear Safety Council has already approved the project. If you were a shareholder, even a small one as you claim, you would of course already know this. There is zero chance of Podemos gaining power. Ever! They are the only party opposed to nuclear, bullfighting and practically everything else.. the other parties including the socialists are supporting Education and jobs. None of them are anti nuclear. You and Que Passo should come clean and disclose your real intentions for posting in this Board.

more than 19000 applicants not 7000

I attended the Co presentation yesterday. I am not a holder here, yet.

The politics were seen as a local plus point - thats my view from everything the Co said. They said that the likes of EMED had cleared the ground for them in many ways. Now the emphasis was on job creation.

I am watching this one for now as funds due end of Dec; then I will decide what to do. Meanwhile I will research further.
