08/12/2015 19:39 | My understanding is that there are in excess of 7000 workers in the area chasing 200 jobs. I think that the labour market will prevail. Having said that if the locals are concerned about the product being extracted it is up those responsible within the company to consult properly, give th locals assurances which are based on the steps being taken to minimise risk. I feel sure that Ian Middlemas will be alive to the potential problem and ensure that the right steps are taken. | snowyflake
08/12/2015 18:48 | heralt1 - the issue is not whether or not the British public is interested in Spanish politics, it is whether Spanish politics will allow the restart of uranium production in their country. Although it is not a forgone conclusion, I believe, on balance, that it will and for that reason have a small position in this share. However it is stupid not to recognise that there is a strong constituency against it that is gaining ground both locally and nationally. | langostino
08/12/2015 16:46 | · Centrist Ciudadanos party is enjoying a dramatic late surge in support marketing themselves as a moderate, reformist alternative to Spain's established parties and to the anti-austerity Podemos movement· Analysts say the party is expected to command a parliamentary group so large that it would be impossible for others to rule without it· The three areas the party says it cares most about are the labour market, the education system and the regeneration of Spain's tarnished institutions. It calls, among other things, for the introduction of a single employment contract, in a bid to close the damaging divide between temporary and permanent workers in Spain· The latest poll found that the ruling centre-right Popular party would win with 28.6 per cent of the vote, or 128 seats in the 350-seat parliament· Ciudadanos, which has no MPs, would win 19 per cent, giving it the role of kingmaker· The Socialists would have a 20.8 per cent share· Podemos, also with no MPs, would come fourth with 15.7 per cent· Spain's prime minister sent Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, the deputy prime minister, to take on Pedro Sánchez, the Socialist leader, Pablo Iglesias, leader of the leftwing Podemos party, and Albert Rivera, leader of the centrist Ciudadanos (Citizens) party. | herlat1
08/12/2015 16:01 | Langostino nobody in this country is remotely interested in or aware of the minority parties in the Spanish elections, who have zero chance of getting elected or even entering into a coalition! The stock is down because the mining sector is down. You and Que Passo should get off this board and let BKY get on and create the much needed jobs for the youth of your country. | herlat1
08/12/2015 13:00 | I guess today's fallback is political. Podemos leader Pablo Iglesias was the undoubted winner of last night's TV election debate. It is not impossible that he may be a junior coalition partner but there is no way through for his party to win. | langostino
08/12/2015 12:56 | herlat I was under the impression that the Leyshon stake in the gold mine was sold for $34 million and whilst successful, it should be remembered that the project was undertaken in a roaring bull market for gold. | captain james t kirk
07/12/2015 14:28 | herlat lol I do not think that QP is a holder but he could be passing the time in Madrid. He is not a fan of APF which holds nigh on 17% of BKY. | snowyflake
07/12/2015 13:26 | Agree QP. CEO had no problem financing Leyshon which made $80 million from its China gold mine! A world class project with strong EU support should be no problem for him. Especially with 18,000 people applying for jobs at the mine. The price targets are i suspect those made by the analysts in the presentation. Can i ask you a shareholder or one of those frustrated anti nuclear protesters living the dream in Madrid denying your fellow countrymen in regional Spain the opportunity to a job? IMHO | herlat1
07/12/2015 09:52 | Berkeley say they are inundated with offers of financing for the $81million financing they need. One looks forward to seeing concrete details of any such financing in the imminent future. Very unusual indeed in my opinion for any company seemingly to be predicting any future share price/movements/leve One notes the CEO's prior involvement with Leyshon. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa

04/12/2015 07:54 | The 2 analysts offering 12 month price targets for Berkeley Energia Ltd have a median target of 85.00, with a high estimate of 100.00 and a low estimate of 70.00. The median estimate represents a 233.33% increase from the last price of 25.50 | liambilson
03/12/2015 15:48 | Langostino - why are you posting here? You are not a shareholder. Are you one of those frustrated anti nuclear posters? Are you following COP21? Nuclear is the only scaleable clean energy which is why Spain generates 20% of its electricity from its own Nuclear reactors. Or are you proposing a policy like Germany which has closed its Nuclear reactors and is now building MORE coal fired power stations? Please do share with us. | herlat1
03/12/2015 15:10 | We have lift-off - blue sky to 100p. Hold tight - good news coming. | philjeans
03/12/2015 07:16 | langostino, A interesting summary when the 'highlighted' phrases are read normally. The Stop Uranium platform seems to be losing the battle. AIMHO. | piedro
02/12/2015 23:04 | hxxp://cadenaser.com The result of the December 20 general election is a hurdle here. | langostino
02/12/2015 12:45 | From Berkeley Energy ... WH Ireland has initiated coverage on Berkeley with a BUY recommendation of 100p. This follows on the back of the recent initiation by GMP Securities (BUY: 70p) as well as coverage updates from Numis (BUY: 100p) and Dundee (BUY: 70p) after the positive pre-feasibility study for Salamanca. | piedro
01/12/2015 15:20 | That's the same PA who through Leyshon Resources attempted to buy a Korean Tungsten explorer. Leyshon withdrew but not before providing a $620,000 unsecured loan. This is due for re payment on the 26th December. I'll keep you informed. | captain james t kirk
30/11/2015 11:00 | positive article in The Times today together with a good article in The Sunday Telegraph a few weeks ago. Looks like PA is getting us some good coverage should help the share price. | fatboy20
23/11/2015 10:53 | phil - this could be a little gem to have invested in. It is not just the DFS to look forward to in May but a quality management team which has been put together. Ian Middlemas had great success with Mantra. I believe that he got involved when Mantra was valued at circa £20 million and sold it for the pound sterling equivalent of circa £500 million. Metals may be in the doldrums at present but BKY have quality grade uranium to be mined and as I see it in due course demand for the product and thus price per pound will increase thus making it very valuable. One for the locker plus a turn in the months to come. | snowyflake
22/11/2015 16:43 | Nice charting update from Zak Mir today on Share Prophets - he's forecasting 30p plus within a month. All looking very positive for a sustained rise. | philjeans
20/11/2015 21:11 | Yo Still happy to be here and believe there's a major uplift on the way when people realise quite what an opportunity this is | fatboy20
20/11/2015 16:33 | Chart looking very strong still - we've had the re-trace (although very little selling actually) and the upward trend still very much in evidence. Time to add - assets many many times current m/c. | philjeans |
