30/6/2012 00:42 | "In the long-term, restricted supply alongside an increasing demand from a concentration of the UK's population growth in London and the South East is likely to ensure that the prospects for new housing in Berkeley's core market remain strong, and the purchase of a new home in the right location is still one of the best long-term investments that an individual can make as well as being a place in which to live." | grigor
30/6/2012 00:41 | Quietly getting on and increasing profits and net asset value. | grigor

31/5/2012 10:48 | 0648 GMT [Dow Jones] Deutsche Bank raises Berkeley Group (BKG.LN) to buy from hold and lifts target to 1561p from 1394p. Bank says that over the coming years, Berkeley will reap the rewards from its strong land acquisition strategy with a significant pick-up in volumes driven by student accommodation and increases in selling price from its high value developments in London. "We have conducted a detailed analysis of Berkeley's London and student landbank and this has led us to increase our FY'14 pretax profit [estimate] by nearly 20% and our [earnings] forecasts are now well above consensus," says Deutsche. Shares closed Wednesday at 1202p | cockneyrebel

19/3/2012 08:14 | Even better looking than when I bought in for the long term. | this_is_me
12/3/2012 13:15 | Promising. One of the best FTSE250 performers. The fact that it is now derisking (i.e. stopped buying land) means that it is throwing off a lot of cash. | honiton
10/3/2012 19:20 | Target still holds true. Results week on Monday. | honiton
25/2/2012 21:10 | target price £18.00. £13 dividend return and £5 post dividend business. This share has done so well (up 60% in 2011) that I might have to sell a % of my holding to avoid too great an exposure to one sector. Think retail may stage a recovery and NEXT worth a look. Also hopeful on electronics and engineering (less so on utilities and commodities). | honiton
17/2/2012 09:46 | Yes, this has always been a "silent " company when it comes to keeping shareholders informed. Suffice it to say that it builds in a very remunerative area, has a good land bank and no cash problems. And not to forget the several free issues later redeemable, as compensation for an absence of a normal dividend strategy. I see it as a leader in this industry that has repaid me many times over. And then there is Barratts that has not been so kind to me but of which I am ever hopeful. Ssords | ssords
