The problem is that after promising language previously (news soon etc) - people have jumped on board, but as we are having to wait longer than expected, the short termers are banking profits and leaving, but then peoples stop-losses are being triggered, and without new buying,. then price is moving south. We need news.

Yes the fall is obviously Covid related which is depressingly absurd. Covid highlighted what the medical division could do. Covid also drew focus on work at home solutions and the need for providers to come up with more robust solutions. BATM are making money and are growing the company.
The results will show this. As mentioned above Marom was clear about 2 things that they did not seek to profit from Covid directly he was also clear that BATM. Was becoming a very large company. I guess no one listened.

Not strictly true. The NFV proof of concept and contract win also accounted for some of the rise.

I haven’t looked in here for a while. Sold around 90p - just before they went up to 140.

They always said they weren’t going to profit from covid so I’m not sure why it’s dropped, I do get the feeling that they have better development teams than salespeople and perhaps it’s more jam tomorrow. Will continue to watch a bit closer

The share price was 45p until mid April

In mid April they announced a ventilator contract and the share price took off eventually reaching 150p by mid August

I'd suggest that the share price got overheated in a short time frame on the back of a Covid related announcement.

Testing is a crowded market place and come vaccine rollout, the market is forward looking to other areas now and not Covid testing. I also don't see ventilators as a growth area.

Bit of a sobering thought, if this starts deflating back to the 40's, not saying it will, but that's where it came from pre-Covid contract news.

I picked up on the chart signals mid September that this was going to correct downwards.

Anyways, I'm in no rush to buy. IMO

Every vaccine announcement, knocks the share price back. What we need is Zvi to come out with some feedback either now or the AGM to show the impact vaccines have on future revenues and profits. We know it will impact the sale of test kits, equipment and possibly ventilators, but there is plenty of other revenue streams in the medical division.

As said before the chart has looked weak for some time, for the record, I like the business.

"owenski - 29 Sep 2020 - 07:56:47 - 17618 of 17783

Odd share price action here considering the supposed good news flow. Looks like it's setting up to go of a cliff."
As said before, the share price has looked weak here for some time, maybe it got a bit overvalued??"

Looks as if its heading into the 70s. 81p at the moment. News has dried up on both businesses. Those buyers who bought close to 150p won't be happy.
The AGM needs to be upbeat with some real orders announced.

There are several re suppliers for Telco kit. It really depends on how it’s enabled etc. Nevertheless even hundreds of these is going to run into quite a lot. Marom commented at the last interview that UCPE sales were robust.

HI FSE,
Is there any way (From your brother or anyone else in Africa) to find out the price of T-Marc 3348.

It really is hard to fathom I am in the process of checking out the Africa business and it is looking very substantial indeed my brother has a business in Kenya so waiting to hear back from him. The only thing that’s changed is that Telco are really starting to move some kit. I don’t get it at all. Topped up when they went below a quid.

Telco Systems to Double Connectivity and Service Capacity of Dimension Data's Carrier Ethernet Network in Kenya
English
Newly expanded high capacity network will enable Dimension Data to deliver more bandwidth and higher speed internet services to Kenyan businesses and home users

NEWS PROVIDED BY
Telco Systems
Nov 30, 2020, 03:15 ET
MANSFIELD, Mass. and NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov. 30, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN/NFV, CE 2.0, MPLS and IP solutions, and Dimension Data, a leading technology services provider, today jointly announced that Telco Systems is in the process of upgrading Dimensions Data's carrier ethernet network in Kenya.

Dimension Data provides advanced Cloud, communication, connectivity and carrier services to public and private sector organizations in Kenya and other countries in the region, including South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.

The network upgrade, which is expected to be completed early next year, will see Telco Systems double the capacity of Dimension Data's carrier Ethernet network in Kenya. This network upgrade will boost the bandwidth and Internet service speeds for local businesses and home users twofold at a time when the demand for connectivity in Kenya has risen by 5.1 percent between April and June amid stay-at-home measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the latest industry report from the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) released earlier this month, subscriptions in the country increased to 40.9 million in the quarter ending June up from 38.9 million in the period ending March. The regulator attributed the rise to increased demand for access to information online, coupled with transfer of more services to the digital space during the pandemic period. Among those who pushed the rise in Internet subscriptions are students, who have switched to online learning.

"We are pleased to build on our long standing relationship with Dimension Data in providing the continued expansion of the company's network capacity and service offering," stated Ariel Efrati, CEO at Telco Systems.

Through this partnership, Telco Systems will deploy an additional several hundred units of its
T-Marc 3348 demarcation devices, which are compact, high capacity demarcation devices featuring high port density for cost effective carrier Ethernet service connectivity.

With SDN support for network configuration and modeling using NETCONF and YANG, the newly deployed T-Marc 3348 devices will enable Dimension Data to further its vision of enhancing customer experience through business automation.

"This network upgrade project clearly demonstrates the importance of network expansions for delivering reliable connectivity in emerging markets and ensuring business continuity as the demand for bandwidth continues to rise," added Efrati.

"Our strategic partnership with Telco Systems, which spans over a decade and across multiple upgrades, is a key factor in the success of our network operations," said Richard Hechle, Managing Director of Dimension Data, East and West Africa. "Telco Systems has consistently delivered networking innovations that we need to cost effectively expand our service offering, improve our customer experience and promote automated operations."

The backdrop for 5G is looking very lively to say the least. Ironically it’s the virus restrictions that are driving it. I am in the US at the moment and providers are scrambling. Current share price is inexplicable when there is so much going on. Making sense out of market sentiment is a heartless experience.

How uCPE Solutions Improve the Efficiency and Velocity of Managed SD-WAN Operations
November 26, 2020 Gabi Podolsky

“There are major differences between service creation for enterprise, such as setting up SD-WAN, firewalls, and so on, and delivering managed SD-WAN on an ongoing basis. In both cases, the product’s features, performance, and cost structures are all important. However, for managed services, efficient product-operations are a major area to get right.” Clavem Research

The SD-WAN services market space is experiencing fast growth, with adoption by enterprises around the world. For communication services providers, this presents a compelling opportunity to deliver managed SD-WAN services to their business customers. Along with the opportunity, delivering managed SD-WAN services also poses unique challenges. For MSPs that service a diverse customer base, the managed service operation becomes a critical factor.

In their latest report “Managed SD-WAN Service Delivery: How to Achieve Operational
Efficiency and Meet Diverse Enterprise Needs – the Answer Lies in Flexible uCPE”, IT and telecommunication industry analyst firm, Clavem Research, takes a closer look at the business and operations of managed SD-WAN services. It reviews the different SD-WAN needs presented by various market segments including: banking, healthcare, retail and manufacturing.

The report discusses how network disaggregation and network function virtualization can be harnessed, in the form of uCPE solution, to transform managed SD-WAN business services.
