The issue with the home test is that covid is a reportable disease and individuals may not report a positive test, so governments may be reluctant to approve.

Nice bounce off £1 should be a support level for upwards movement with news. Dropping below £1 for a day or two was not enough to claim it should now provide resistance on charts

No worries you would be forgiven for that, unless you read some of the Republican leaning papers like Fox or NY Post you only get the predominant liberal media.
The Democrat party bears no resemblance to the party it was in previous years and a lot of voters realise they are getting Harris and the left as Biden is a Trojan Horse President. Sanders and Warren and AOC have already been lined up for senior positions in Trade and Industry so you can imagine how thats going to pan out.
Remember BBC, Guardian etc all support the Democrats so even the news you get in the UK about US is biased.
In any event I have a red eye to the States Florida west Coat tomorrow so am at least relieved they still have a Republican governor.
Its not that I like Trump its just that the Dems are out in left bank so to speak. They may well still get in but I don't think enough Americans realise what they are voting for.

Emeraldzebra I agree with you I thought the prospect of a Biden win would lower the market but its up another 1.5% today.Apparently the uplift is due to a combination of the removal of uncertainty and the high public sector spending expected from Biden.
Trump believes that the market is up because it thinks he will win but Trump's ideas are once again misplaced. Biden didn't like Brexit and has strong support from Ireland so getting a trade deal with the US will be more difficult with Biden than Trump.
This time next week we should know. Of course there could be a civil war!!!
