Good to see BVS with a very positive trading statement today. Should bode well for the other housebuilders.

All I'm saying is that I believe that trade a buy, went through at around 11.50am and the market deemed it significant enough to delay it until the UT book closed. I'm not suggesting anything else other than to keep a stable price.

So what? It's a circa six billion £ company.

View it whichever way, however it was an OB transaction worth £1.6mll

No... other than you, nor I, have no real idea what it was (buy or sell) - because it will have been delayed. In any event, it is of little consequence either way.

Thanks for your views .....decided just to hold and accumulate if shares fall as good company and dividend.

I certainly agree with the first part, not so sure about the second part.

Papers just talk rubbish no 1 point - what have shorters got to do with the fundamentals of the co - nothing - most shorters lose money!

The update used lots of strong and positive words but in reality the growth is hardly startling and number of sites seems the same as last year at 388 All this in the greatest sweetspot for builders in history Hence its only down from here for the shareprice imo Labour government and builders are toast

I use iWEB, almost identical interface to Halifax Sharedealing (except that iWEB are less than half the price per deal). No probs with iWEB after a couple of years. Pay divis promptly. Interface a bit outdated but I can live with that at £5 per trade. Small one-off joining fee (£25?).

I have used both, iweb much better than the Jarvis setup.

Any of you folks have experience with brokers X-O(by jarvis) or iweb-sharedealing(by halifax). From june 10th ii will be increasing fees to £19.99 a month. I dont even trade each month, ripoff broker. Both x-o and iweb have a simple flat trade fee of £5.95 per trade and have no monthly/yearly admin fees or inactivity fees.

Just read this "Grenfell Tower: Government to pay £200m for safer cladding": hTTps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48211833 "Pemberstone, Aberdeen Asset Management, Barratt Developments, Fraser Properties, Legal & General and Mace and Peabody were named as having fully borne the costs for their buildings." The gov impetus is quoted as being the need for speedy resolution, but I can't help thinking gov are complicit in short comings, be it directly in public buildings or indirectly via planning consent detail and building regs. IMO Dave.

spcecks: Traders have piled in after seeing your post! Well, it kicked off around 9.30 and can't see any other salient news to effect the timing. Maybe the traders were late in to work due to a train problem as FTSE also rises around 9.30. Peers also dip to 9.30 before rebounding to neutral, not much sign of read-across.

Above expectations and with a well-above average yield at this price. What's not to like? Excellent update.

FWIW I think that's a good update. Market a bit funny at moment so no idea how it will react. Modestly above should be worth something?
