Where the money went is not clear. "People sent money to various accounts, but all they got back was a fax or letter once a month or so saying how well their investments were doing," the investigator said. "It was the sort of stuff anyone could do on a laptop with a spreadsheet."

I can't believe people hand millions over to investors. Are these people crazy?

It's not hard to invest in the markets yourself. Hell l started Oct 2008 and never knew anything about shares. I learnt the hard way - investing post Lehmens crash!

Crazy mugs - l have no pity for these people.

Ken, you are a Gentleman and I thank you for your kind words.

My heart goes out to CRAIG666, he has been a good poster on here and remains such, his comments are honest and add to the board. People seem to forget that they are talking to people on here, to be wiped out and to find nearly £10,000 more is a very hard pill to swallow.

I try my best to post how I feel at the time of posting (this changes with current news and chatter I hear) and give my honest opinion to how I see things. I am an excitable and passionate person who cares about others.

I have never attacked people on here, quite the opposite, but because I give my view with argument a very few on here seem to find abusing me amusing. This is either because they have an opposite position or view and lack the intelligence to argue back.

I trade exactly how I feel and I am currently out of pocket by about £50,000 since the turn of the year. This is despite hedging although if I did not hedge at all I would be down double that. I trade both long and short term, real shares and derivatives.

I have been honest about this from the start. I have been caught out by the huge downturn in the financial sector and despite being caught long, I as most trade around the position and I say what I am doing every day.

I do hope that I make at least some decent contribution to your board. Under normal circumstances I would make a 6 figure sum dealing. This market is totally untradeable on fundamentals, I try to give my honest opinion, that is all I can do.

Ken, I respect you for running a good thread with up to date information and charts, I feel touched that you have posted these words in your update.

I wonder if we are on the same square?

Lets all hope we get some normallity back to the market next week, I am fed up with trading like a gambler.

Good luck everyone, should be interesting!

Juggler - That's an interesting website. Thanks.

1" rain in Bath on Wednesday, but it looks as if it will arrive too late for us. 1½" spread over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with another ¼" on Friday morning should just about be right at Ayr.

Jeez Ken! Gulp.....

Ok I hope it pours down in Scotland this week ;-) According to Metcheck it is going to hammer down in Ayr on Tues/Wed/Thurs so best put a few bob on his "Lordship"

Meanwhile let's hope we see Barc head over the £4 mark this coming week

Thanks Ken, I read it as something that would headline a due announcement, the only 'near'date I could think of was next month.

Good thread by the way mate. One of the few that seems to attract normal people ( in the main! )

Whats your big interest with BARC? You obviously have good knowledge of this one.

Re this...''BARCLAYS is on track to post record profits of more than £10 billion for 2009, triggering multi-million pound bonuses for dozens of traders and executives. ''

Do I take it that's the 10th November or earlier?

Thanks in advance!

I've been promised an improved PP spreadsheet code later today although it won't have been tested in real-time trading.

All being well I'll try to let you know what changes have been suggested and whether they work in practice by tomorrow evening.

I've also sent an e-mail to helpdesk@cmcmarkets.co.uk asking for help with setting up the trades. If they respond positively I'm planning to start using either my original code or the new one I'm waiting for, from tomorrow week.

Time to get excited I think.
