18/10/2009 19:34 | Juggler - That's an interesting website. Thanks. 1" rain in Bath on Wednesday, but it looks as if it will arrive too late for us. 1½" spread over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with another ¼" on Friday morning should just about be right at Ayr. | kenbachelor
18/10/2009 19:07 | Dear All, Kenneth is keeping his Bachelor's Eye on me :) Beware the false profit! Regards, BLAP | bullionblap
18/10/2009 19:02 | Jeez Ken! Gulp..... Ok I hope it pours down in Scotland this week ;-) According to Metcheck it is going to hammer down in Ayr on Tues/Wed/Thurs so best put a few bob on his "Lordship" Meanwhile let's hope we see Barc head over the £4 mark this coming week | the juggler
18/10/2009 18:46 | Bob - My interest in BARC is 91k shares at an average of 420p. It's enough to keep me interested. | kenbachelor
18/10/2009 17:44 | Thanks Ken, I read it as something that would headline a due announcement, the only 'near'date I could think of was next month. Good thread by the way mate. One of the few that seems to attract normal people ( in the main! ) Whats your big interest with BARC? You obviously have good knowledge of this one. | bobp
18/10/2009 17:33 | 19th February I assume Bob. | kenbachelor
18/10/2009 17:32 | Dear All, Be wary of false profits. I mean- flash profits. Sorry, I mean false prophets. LOL as always, BLAP | bullionblap
18/10/2009 16:47 | Re this...''BARCLAYS is on track to post record profits of more than £10 billion for 2009, triggering multi-million pound bonuses for dozens of traders and executives. '' Do I take it that's the 10th November or earlier? Thanks in advance! | bobp
18/10/2009 15:56 | I've been promised an improved PP spreadsheet code later today although it won't have been tested in real-time trading. All being well I'll try to let you know what changes have been suggested and whether they work in practice by tomorrow evening. I've also sent an e-mail to helpdesk@cmcmarkets. Time to get excited I think. | kenbachelor
18/10/2009 15:44 | Shaggy - Yes it's worrying isn't it; but it's not market manipulation, it's just downright dishonest. | kenbachelor
18/10/2009 15:19 | overzeal barclays to push through £4 this week. Off to watch the grand prix.I hope Barricello wins to make the final race a showdown between the two Brawn drivers. gl | thehangman
18/10/2009 14:54 | thehangman, Monty's doing well with BLNX and Glaxo. He missed out on the BARC explosion though ! ADD : RAVING "Mad" CRAIG bowed out spectacularly ! | 0verzeal
18/10/2009 14:48 | wow that was a long presentation Ken, lol, however after sitting through that im surprised that you don't believe in the theory of large companies being manipulated, isn't that what happened to Barc and Lloyds (although probably with good reason)earlier in the year? The government suspended short selling for a bit, so i assume all short selling was not legal, i.e. naked short selling. Anyway thanks for that Ken, very scary really that the worlds stability relies on these dodgy markets. | shaggy666
18/10/2009 14:43 | wen he certainly has has monty retired ? | thehangman
18/10/2009 14:31 | thehangman, I'm well but not as well as that purple bloke. He's obviously got a finger on the pulse ! | 0verzeal

18/10/2009 13:36 | That's a hell of a rumour! | smurfy2001
18/10/2009 13:33 | I have just received a call from my mate in the city, BARC have reportedly done a deal with Bank Of China for 625p, it is unconfirmed but he knows one of the directors at BARC and he saw them laughing and joking around last night in a bar and heard this figure mentioned. I cannot confirm this from any other sources, does anyone here know if this is true? | purple sound
18/10/2009 13:27 | Good link Ken | smurfy2001
18/10/2009 12:47 | Shaggy - I don't believe in the theory of market manipulation in major companies, but I certainly do believe in manipulation of smaller companies. Have you seen this? | kenbachelor
18/10/2009 12:39 | ahhh but Ken, that was when it was based on avg previous profit of about £5b not £10b. I take it by the way Ken you didnt agree with my terminology about the use of artificial? maybe manipulated would be better. | shaggy666
18/10/2009 10:38 | I think I'll commit myself and put 4p in the header so that everyone can have a good laugh. | kenbachelor
18/10/2009 10:36 | Shaggy - Not big. I think I said a while back that I was hoping for 4p but the suggestion in the market is somewhat less than that! | kenbachelor |
