MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is confident that the Kursk region will be completely liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to him, the work of volunteers will be in great demand in this region.

"When we will have liberated the territory from the enemy, there will be a lot of work for you, too," Putin said, addressing activists of the military-patriotic center Vympel from the Kursk region.

He added that victory is impossible without volunteers who support the fighters at the front.

LUGANSK, November 4. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 6,000 more fighters on the borders of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) in October than in the previous month - almost 53,000 people, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.

"In October, the armed formations of Ukraine continued their attempts to stop the advance of our troops. Last month, 200 enemy counter-attacks were repulsed on the LPR borders (86 more than in September). As a result of the decisive actions of our units, 11 settlements (in the LPR) were liberated, which is the most successful result this year. The enemy's losses in the reporting period amounted to about 52,795 Ukrainian fighters and mercenaries, which is 5,960 more than in September," Marochko said.

He added that during this period the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 746 vehicles, 365 various armored vehicles, 61 tanks, 12 launchers of multiple launch rocket systems, 499 field artillery pieces, 114 electronic and anti-battery warfare stations, and 169 field ammunition depots.

New Russian ”Flower” Blooming In Pokrovsk Direction

he Russian army does not stop offensive operation after heavy battles for one Ukrainian fortress after another. After a short pause for regrouping, Russian forces resumed attacks and are rapidly expanding their zone of control around the city of Selidovo in the Pokrovsk direction in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

On November 3rd, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the full control of the village of Vishnevoe located on the western outskirts. In fact, the village came under Russian control before the main stage of Russian assault in Selidovo began. The official confirmation by the Russian Ministry of Defense means that the mop up operations were completed in the village and Russian control of its outskirts was secured.

The Russian advance did not stop. As a result of a series of successful attacks, Russian forces advanced in different directions from their strongholds in Selidovo and Vishnevoe.


On November 4th, the newly shared footage from the Pokrovsk direction showed Russian flag waving in the eastern part of the village of Novooleksiivka (Novoalekseevka) located southwest of Vishnevoe.

Small Russian armored group of the Russian 80th armored regiment passed through the minefields and rapidly approached military positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian tanks first suppressed Ukrainian forces. Then, Russian infantry landed from armored vehicles and gained a foothold on the military positions abandoned by Ukrainian forces. At least one Ukrainian servicemen was taken prisoner.

According to preliminary reports, the village came under Russian control bt most likely, the Russian military is in control of its eastern part and is launching the mop up operations to repel the enemy from the western streets.

At the same time, the Russian army is advancing west of Selidovo. According to preliminary reports, Russian forces entered the village of Grigorovka.

The Russian military is using the so-called ”flower” tactics, which previously brought victories in battles around Ocheretino,

Tuskurino and other strongholds in the Donbass. After Russians secure their control of a stronghold in a village, they launch attacks in different directions around it, developing simultaneous offensives on other settlements nearby. This tactics mis mainly aimed at securing the flanks of the advancing groups in the densely populated areas.

Yet despite all that extra spending, the economy is now forecast to grow at a slower pace than under so-called “Tory austerity”.

Reeves has also driven up UK borrowing costs, as she plans to issue an unbelievable £300billion of government bonds this year to fund spending.

This has shaken investors' faith in the UK, with investors demanding higher interest rates to buy gilts, the bonds our government issues to fund spending.

Analysts back Barclays

In the three months ending September, Lloyds Banking Group's total net income increased by 5 per cent to £4.3billion from the prior quarter.

The FTSE 100 firm enjoyed a slightly bigger net interest margin thanks to structural hedge earnings compensating for customers refinancing mortgages and choosing different savings accounts.

Structural hedging similarly aided growth in third-quarter interest income and profits at Barclays and NatWest Group, with both surpassing pre-tax profits forecasts by around £200million.

NatWest, which is 16 per cent owned by the UK Government, also saw its shares hit their highest level in nine years following the publication of its results.

Standard Chartered credited its short-term hedge roll-off and repricing of structural hedges for helping to lift its treasury income by $281million year-on-year in the July to September period.

The Asia-focused firm's announcement came as it reported underlying operating income jumped by around $500million to $4.9billion, its best third-quarter result since 2015.


And HSBC attributed positive fair value movements on structural hedging to partly offsetting lower revenue at its corporate centre arm, which includes its central treasury and legacy businesses.

'All of the larger UK banks operate a structural hedge,' notes Benjamin Toms, analyst at RBC Capital Markets.

He adds: 'The key difference is in how mechanical each bank is in replacing existing swaps, with a bank like Barclays being very mechanical and a bank like Lloyds being more tactical, NatWest sit somewhere in the middle.'

He believes Barclays will be the primary beneficiary of this tailwind because of the 'shorter average duration' of its structural hedge.

Quilter's Howlett thinks the bigger domestic British banks - not just Barclays - will reap a greater boon when compared to the more Asia-focused banks like HSBC and Standard Chartered.

'As interest rates fall,' says Howlett, 'these banks will continue to deploy hedging strategies to good effect and ensure they continue to see the benefit of higher interest rates, even if the BoE is dropping the headline rate.'

Anything other than a Trump landslide will tell me that there is no hope for the future of the USA. If enough people are willing to vote for Kamala Harris and the Democrats to make this a close election, after what they've done for the past 4 years and what they're proposing to do in the future, then I doubt the USA can hold out to the middle of this century without collapsing.

Mail in ballot fraud has already been discovered and take this for example. A Democrat appointed judge in the Democrat state of California ruled that 1,200 ballots, from people who admitted they didn't have citizenship or a right to vote, should be allowed in the vote counting. Republicans had to seek an emergency Supreme Court ruling to stop those votes from being counted. If they try openly to cheat like that, you can imagine what is happening behind the scene.

Brits to be £10k worse off as state spending set to soar to £1.5trn under Labour


A top think says that spending on the NHS and social care will soon be the equivalent of New Zealand's GDP

State spending will hit £1.5trillion by 2029-30 as a result of Labour’s Budget decisions leaving Brits £10,000 worse off, the Centre for Policy Studies has warned.

The think tank co-founded by Margaret Thatcher claims that Sir Keir Starmer’s Government is squeezing living standards.


It warns that without a surge in growth the nation faces “a painful, miserable few years”. Chancellor Rachel Reeves’s has put the country, it claims, on track to become a “high-tax, high-spend nation”.

With NHS and social care funding due to pass £200billion, the CPS researchers say this is on a par with the GDP of New Zealand or Greece.

It cautions that unless reforms to the planning system unlock a “growth bonanza” the country faces “another decade of virtual stagnation in living standards”.

OBR error leaves Reeves £18bn short of room to borrow


A mistake in the UK’s official financial forecasts has left Rachel Reeves £18bn short of headroom to borrow in her ambitious tax and spending plan.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) was this week forced to “restate” its March estimates for public sector net financial liabilities (PSNFL), the UK’s new measure of public debt.

The figure shows Reeves has £44bn of room to borrow – around £18bn less, Bloomberg reported, than its initial estimate of £62bn in March.

The move could spook already jittery traders who would have assumed Reeves had more money ahead of the Budget than she did.

PSNFL is the new metric Ms Reeves is using to measure the UK’s indebtedness.

Ben Zaranko at the Institute for Fiscal Studies said Reeves’s move to change the debt metric meant the Chancellor had given herself less headroom to borrow than she would originally have expected.
