Possibly the news re Aus is your answer, but I feel it could
be just to prevent ent going for Aus assets. Quite happy if
they do not buy any large assets, keep paying dividends and
funding the USA.

Closing price, Degiro €7.054, Euronext €7.08. It's been a good week.

This should have been at €8 early this year, but the Pascal monkey was still selling.
I noticed a good bit of upward pressure over the last few weeks so I guess he's all out of bullets at this stage.
A €7 floor on the price would be a nice place to finish today

3 year high is 7.03, may be higher later today. With further ECB rate increases due before year end 8 can't be ruled out by year end.

Definitely staff issues, employees at all levels are well trained, there just aren't enough at the branches. The nearest branch to me is down a minimum of 2 persons. The AIB branch which is very close by seems to have sufficient staff working the floor. Then again banks don't really want retail customers walking into the branch, on-line works better for the banks.

If she is appointed I hope she more faith in the company that the outgoing Chief. She bought just 4,000 shares during her time in charge. Even with salary cap she must have earned a couple of million.

Alicia Reyes Revuelta former head of Wells Fargo Europe looks tipped to be the next Chief.
Some nice action now on the Buy side since yesterday. Hopefully Paschal is finished and we get a quick run up to €7

Banks are well cushioned for that. Most BOI Mortgages given out since 2011 are at low LTV ratios, large deposits plus a low multiple of income to loan. Who in there right mind will default on a loan like that, you'd effectively be handing the bank free property.
Only chance for that to happen is if we get negative equity again but I can't see how that can happen under current rules and in a 100% employment economy with a housing shortage.
The only thing holding the share price down now is the last of Pascals shares. He must have his load blown by now

Increased rates does not mean that the share price will increase. As inflation bites more people will default on their loans putting stress on the banks

A chance to back up the truck in the fours may not be out of the question. Putin has all the aces now. Won't be long now until Germany industry and homes will be agitating for a deal and leave Putin the victor All that rusty equipment supplied will come back to haunt us all

Doubt that you will be able to buy BIRG at €7.20 in 12 months. I topped up late Friday, possible a little early, I expect a return on my funds.

Pascal still has 2.5% to get rid of. The sooner that monkey is gone the better as it is the only drag on the share price now
