estienne: The share price has been rising steadily against UK banks. It continued to rise when they were down. It is currently around the price I bought into after the 2008 banking crash so the fall is down mainly to Covid and to a much lesser extent by Brexit.

badger8888: I am far more positive with BIRG rather than AIB. Suspect it may take a couple of years for me to get back into profit on this one as I invested a few years ago. It is doable!

crazi: Looking back over the past 6 months they are in Buy mode. Considering the price is at circa 66% discount YTD it is understandable they are buying...

cumnor: People as usual will be scratching their heads when this is 4-5 euros and wondering why they didn't buy at 1.50. New business friendly government on the way, Brexit will get done, trade with the UK will continue and Dublin will benefit hugely from Brexit investment into the EU in a big way, the Irish economy is opening up and BIRG is one of Ireland's primary companies, despite the small market cap.

cumnor: Norwegian oil fund involvement positive but share price clearly being toyed with by one of the US banks or hedge funds and there is little to be done about it. Good opportunity to add for medium term.

hayfield: Blackrock adding, share price drops hmmm whats going on???? I'm not selling now that they are buying. Expect more tree shaking to loosen those weak holders of their shares. They've been shaking the $h'' out of this with the last 6 months, surly all the free float and weak holders are mopped up by now

badger8888: Very strange, Dublin off 100+ points and BIRG is up on the day, so far.

hayfield: Share price is where it is due to manipulation. My guess is Blackrock are making a killing here, they've been active all year selling and buying yet they end up with the same percentage as they had 12 months ago. The fact is there is no large holder here to guard against manipulation so when you invest in this share you are in effect handing money over to the manipulators Eventually these will be at so low a position that we will get consolidation across the whole banking sector

badger8888: It's not long since this was over €6. Hopefully certainty with a new government may put a floor under the share price.

willjam: The Irish economy is booming full employment and for the moment a stable effective governmentProperty has stabilized and the bank should be able to recover provisions from previous periods I think this will be a slowly growing share ( hoping for 20c dividend)My target exit is €6 approx but it won't be quick so patience is needed
