03/8/2021 13:15 | Share buyback would be better than paying tax on the dividend. Surly they have enough juice now to reduce the number to under 1 billion. The Capital reserves will really boost them now that the Irish economy is surging forward again. I'm really surprised that this bank being so well run now has such a low market cap | donpatrol
03/8/2021 11:40 | Prefer capital gain than dividend given the penal tax and usc plus all the other tax on unearned income Ok for pension but for retail holder 33% is better than 52% | badger36
03/8/2021 11:05 | Huge capital buffer now, at some point they will be able to pay out 60pct of profits as divs which will be 12pct running off these results | catsick
03/8/2021 07:30 | Stronger than expected results this morning. €465 million is up 72%, that's a huge increase. Books look very good. Better than solid performance, and now with the addition of KBC and davy's this bank is on the march forward | donpatrol
22/7/2021 17:11 | I suspect that ALL Davy directors, senior executives and all currently employed shareholders will have had to sign watertight indemnities that will provide BIRG with a serious amount of comfort. | badger8888
22/7/2021 14:39 | It is a good deal for BOI. It ties in well with their Business model. This is a lucrative sector for them to be in. Can't see anyone running rings around Francesca McDonagh, if anything she has reestablished trust and integrity. I see Blackrock are still adding, the same Blackrock that was filling it's boots back at €1.39, and are still happy to buy today. Share price has retracted over the last month, probably due to the Irish Government off loading it's stake. Typical, they hold in the bad times and now when there is rewards to be reaped they are selling. | donpatrol
22/7/2021 13:53 | He certainly has had his name in the papers on many occasions. It's not as if he needs the funds. | badger8888
22/7/2021 12:53 | Basically he is saying thanks for bailing out the "lads"We all in it together ??"Finally, and on behalf of all my colleagues at Davy, I recognise that without you, our clients, there would be no Davy. That is why we are so pleased to have secured new long-term strategic owners that align so strongly with our clients' growth ambitions and outlook. Thank you for your continued support. We really do appreciate it and will never take your support for granted. Yours sincerely, Bernard Byrne Interim CEO " | badger36
22/7/2021 12:49 | I guess K McLaughlin and the rest have to be bailed out by some of those in the old boy network McDonagh will have rings run around her by these charlatansHow Kyran McL has controlled so many Boards and has been shrouded in issues that in another jurisdiction he would be ostracised | badger36
22/7/2021 12:22 | Davy's is the worst thing they could have boughtHuge payout for managers who F##ked it upAnd the last thing Boi neededThey stopped paying dividends profits and share price falling and their solution is to buy Davy's!!!!!!!!MADNES | willjam

22/6/2021 11:23 | this is down 20% this month . Quite a correction. In hindsight it was overbought at 545p. Market cap is 4b billion. Could be affected by the corporation tax pressure. Not sure | dealy
27/5/2021 11:52 | I would be pretty hacked off if there was a lot of stagnant consolidation down here, prehaps around 6.5-7 area maybe given historical medium term chart if you're into that kind of thing. | my retirement fund
25/5/2021 09:56 | Well it has quadrupled in a year so a period of consolidation is ok for me before the next upward move ! | datahead
24/5/2021 19:34 | Should be some news early tomorrow, AGM day. | badger8888
24/5/2021 17:54 | Surprised this hasn't started to move higher yet. | my retirement fund
10/5/2021 14:34 | lol yep looks like this is the long one now. Things have changed, people now looking for value stocks, the funny thing is Bank of Ireland offers more growth potential now more than ever! | donpatrol
10/5/2021 08:04 | Could this be it, opened at 4.98 with just several thousand snaffled then next offer on the book 5.15. Are the idiots now going from short to long? | my retirement fund
07/5/2021 16:34 | Great finish on good volume. Hopefully more next week. | badger8888
07/5/2021 15:58 | 5 paid, excellent | mor16
07/5/2021 13:26 | This 5EUevel is worse than watching paint dry. I'm wondering if this is some kind of key level for the hedge fund idiots or something, so when it finally can no longer be held back with gazillions of short options it will spring board a full 10% or something some such unusual | my retirement fund
07/5/2021 09:02 | Banks now making huge profits Credit Agricole net profit up 63% hxxps://www.rte.ie/n Make no mistake bank of Ireland is really undervalued compared to the rest of the European banks, with a forecasted earnings growth of 94% and it looks like the bank could be posting profits very soon. | donpatrol
05/5/2021 17:21 | Tomorrow! Onwards and upwards. | badger8888 |
