Well im happy to get a few euro and yield attracts investors so i think they have done about right but agree let the govt sell all and then no stopping price growth and full steam ahead

It's a pity they didn't use all the funding for the share buyback instead of paying half of it in dividend. They could have easily taken care of Pascals last few percent.
I'm still hopeful of €8 over the next months ahead

No but if one was lucky to buy below 2 it has been a great performance AIB has been disappointing but the overhang of shares may lead to a trade sale against another R/S as just too much paper

Not a great start to the buyback, per Degiro the share price is currently off 0.84% just now.

Yes it just seems peace talks driving it which makes you realize if it wasn't for the Russian butcher BOI could be knocking on 8 euro by now.

Well the road ahead is looking clearer, with the interim, suspended government in NI, clearly the EU cannot allow goods keep flooding across unchecked both ways, the end game is of course the re-unification of Ireland. Hence my de-risking.

I think so much UK business has moved to NI because they are still in the EU single market that a turn around would not be welcomed by many. As it stands both the rep and NI are booming now and at the end of the day money talks.
BOI is going to continue on the upward now until at least the 10th of March when the ECB meets, at which point the market expects them to raise rates, if that doesn't happen then it will knock back the share price but in all fairness it's as good as a done deal now as they have no choice but to act on the spiraling inflation.
We could easily be looking at €8 sometime this year
