16/8/2013 14:09 | Sold yesterday lunchtime bought back a couple of hours later for 10p ... Surprised at the Spanish rally today .... Also ... Letter from Santander effectively telling me that free banking is a thing of the past (reading between the lines) so looking for good profits soon ... | keith95

14/8/2013 01:02 | Yes - I got mine. These additions help cushion any divi cuts down the line -that of course is not certain. | 4spiel
12/8/2013 16:33 | and mine :-) | leedslad001
12/8/2013 15:28 | 4spiel...im with tdw..default option my div shares arrived today...yours prob did as well gla | captcash
12/8/2013 12:04 | Received reply from TD today confirming no problem with the default option ie shares.Credits pending. Simply responded that if next time would help they just said the default option is shares in their email. While the shares fairly low accumulating best option. | 4spiel
10/8/2013 07:48 | We have gone through the 200 Moving Average in the last few days. | dendria
09/8/2013 23:15 | TD may be similar -but no communication! By the way if interested inwhats going on in Spain there is very good Board run by a guy called Mark in Barcelona and the site is Spanish Property Forums. It tells you about the root of problems there made worse by a neo -fascist Government. Put in search and you will get the web page. I think it will take more than a recovery here and in other parts of europe to get Spain going. | 4spiel
09/8/2013 22:34 | That's with Barclays! Stormy | onlyonestorm
09/8/2013 22:24 | It looks as though this is general and not to panic. Do appreciate your comments. | 4spiel
09/8/2013 22:17 | I think the small amount is the surplus money and the actual script divi shares will be allocated to accounts by weds next week!! Hope I have explained this correctly, had a few cold ones! Stormy | onlyonestorm
09/8/2013 21:50 | The US and UK housing markets are starting to repair ... Europe I suspect will follow close behind ... world population is still accelerating .. so growth will get back on track until a bird flu disease or whatever decimates this planet with its surplus humans ... | keith95
09/8/2013 21:27 | This gets more mysterious ! Since I sent the complaint the line in my sterling trading showing the right number of shares plus BANO SANTRFD which should not have been there has disappeared but in the Euro section{I hold SAN on Madrid)there remains BANO SANTR13 OPTIONAL DIVIDEND . with a small amount. But no re[ply received. I await Monday to see if the shares arrive. These shares have been as high as 10 euro since the crash - before the big problems in their bond market. But probably room for some upside on the international earnings think only 25% are generated in Spain Banco Vizcaya BBVA (BVA)is probably the strongest Spanish bank -it has gone up more but less yield -also earnings are substantially ex Spain. The rest are iffy Banco Popular has improved but heavily into Spanish property market -having said that it has a lot of land and unfinished property on its books that one day may cease to be toxic. I know a little as have minute pied a terre in Canarias. Gibralter currently a hot subject with Spain -its in many respects a great place to have bought a place in the sun in sterling -but it costs a lotta now and think Spanish are jealous ! Good Luck | 4spiel
09/8/2013 19:16 | Nice to see it closing above £4.80 my next target is £5.46 sometime before end of Jan 14. | leedslad001
09/8/2013 19:12 | 4spiel In your portfolio you should have a seperate line with the amount of shares you allocated. Thats in my TDW portfolio | leedslad001
09/8/2013 18:44 | Relax 4spiel - it takes time to distribute & incorporate the additional shares. I don't have mine from IWeb yet. You should have a line in your account reserved for them? | dendria
09/8/2013 18:36 | I still have not received my shares from TD nor received reply so I have sent on line complaint as something is wrong. I cannot see they can deprive me because I did not respond to their corporate action request. The July 11th Eleccion circular is clear that shares will be paid unless one elects to receive cash or sell them in the market. TD appear to have sold them in the market achieving trivial value which is not right but I hope its not the case ! | 4spiel
09/8/2013 13:20 | Thanks 4spiel .. This is what I figured ... But was news to me! | keith95
09/8/2013 12:36 | No stamp duty is paid on any foreign shares purchased -you only pay it on UK shares. So if you buy BNC on London Stock Exchange you pay no stamp duty.If you buy them in euro on Madrid you pay none but the broker will charg you more commission usually. I would be surprised if I am wrong as have bought US and Euro stock and never paid it | 4spiel
09/8/2013 10:08 | No probs ... | keith95
09/8/2013 10:05 | keith95, You are correct I have just edited my post sorry about the confusion | acamas
09/8/2013 10:02 | Hi Acamas ... I thought that was only the case if you received new shares directly from the company itself ie from a rights issue or something like that.. | keith95
09/8/2013 10:00 | keith95, The piece below might help:- "If you subscribe for new shares in a company, stamp duty is not payable." These are new shares as I understand the situation Edit: You have purchased old shares joining BNC. Please avoid the above I am mixing BNC and TRP in which I have interests and I am obtaining shares in both at the moment. | acamas
09/8/2013 09:54 | Question: Looking at my purchase order .. I wasn't obliged to pay 0.5% stamp on Santander .. I'm assuming this is because the share is listed in Spain... is this correct .. or is my math wrong? | keith95
08/8/2013 15:44 | 4spiel ... fair points .. as I said .. always a worry with a high yield ... Looking forward to the Noshspiel | keith95 |
