can't see why ECHR climate change ruling should affect BAE? But maybe that has a knock on effect for anyone involved with planes? Stretching it a bit, but just a thought?

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair, Norfolk, Virginia, is awarded a $34,226,211 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-21-2451) to exercise an option for a landing platform dock (LPD 29) fitting out availability. I did wonder if the uk goverment would halt arms sales to Israel but don't think the recent pull back is in anticipation of that.

Has there been a sudden outbreak of worldwide peace and harmony?

I would gladly watch my BA. shares drop to zero if this were the case.

Well done.PE about 22, falling to around 20 based on 2024 guidance. I didn't realise a FTSE100 company was allowed to have a PE that high these days lol. Of course, nobody would bat an eyelid if this was the USA. Though, a quick google says Lockheed (biggest in the world) is on 16.

"PS, If anyone has held from way back in the 2 -3 quid range, and not sold one, bloody well done!"

I'm in since £3.20. I sold a third of my holding some time ago. Even so, the paper gain remaining is now enough to buy a house. Sadly this holding is unsheltered.

I wonder if we've reached a temporary peak, if so then we could head back to the uptrend line at 1310. Below that there's support should be found around 1255.

PS, If anyone has held from way back in the 2 -3 quid range, and not sold one, bloody well done!

Not that low as my average cost is 387p but I'm still showing a large profit, never having sold any of my holding. That's not because I'm smart, it's because I'm purely a long term hold income investor with a diversified portfolio and care little for price fluctuations. As long as a share keeps delivering with divi increases over time, I'll keep holding and that's what's happened here. For me, there is no reason to sell and certainly not just because of the capital gain.

BA. cap growth has been exceptional and is far from the norm in my port. Nevertheless long term total port growth has been good with the better performers making up for the weaker ones. But I'm not here for that, it's total port income that interests me and this too has delivered over the decades. Not always a steady year on year rise, there are inevitably some down years, but looking at decades, it has fulfilled the original intentions for my strategy.

It is interesting to me that an income approach hasn't done badly on capital either, even though that's not why I do it. I guessed at the outset that this was likely to happen but there was never any guarantee. Divi income is risk income, a risk I was willing to accept to be in equities.

BAE Systems has signed a contract with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) for the Mid-Life Upgrade (MLU) of the Danish CV90 fleet, ensuring the vehicles’ performance for many years to come.

This MLU contract follows the previously signed framework agreement regarding repair and maintenance services.

Under the contract, the Danish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles will be integrated with the new D-series turret, a “leap forward in design and functionality which provides significant improvements in vehicle balance and new ways to introduce a variety of weaponry for increased lethality”.
