The urgency to address chronic issues of cost overruns and delays in UK defence procurement, particularly in complex and important initiatives like the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), have underscored the need for upfront honesty about project costs.

Industry and the UK MoD should be “much more honest” about the actual costs of UK military procurement programmes upfront when it comes to programmes like the triliteral Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), a think tank expert has warned. Ensuring strict adherence to the fighter jet’s service entry date is imperative to prevent Japan, a key partner in the project, from walking away.

Dope

The Uniparty has no intention of keeping us safe Dope.
This is deliberate managed decline to ensure we are weak and ripe for conquering.

For World War is inevitable now.

Only question is how bad the things are going to be.

Supply chains fall - no pharmaceuticals, food shortages.

Going to be a blast.

No extra money for defence in the budget which is disgusting considering what's going on. Tax bribes for votes but his No1 priority which is keeping us safe. ZERO

BAE Systems has delivered a first-in-its-kind Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) Turreted Mortar prototype to the U.S. Army.
The prototype showcases a newly designed top plate system—the External Mission Equipment Package (ExMEP)—that allows for the easy installation of a variety of turrets. This vehicle prototype is also outfitted with the Patria NEMO remote-controlled 120mm turreted mortar system.

EU threatens to cut off Britain's weapon supply to look after itself if war breaks out with Putin

....... see EU countries forced to limit the amount of weapons they could buy from UK-based firms, including BAE systems, if they wanted to receive extra funds from the bloc's budget allocation.

Wonder if they realise MBDA is 37.5% owned by BAE?

BAE Systems is celebrating alongside its customers at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) following the successful launch of the MethaneSAT satellite from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California today.
The satellite will provide the public with reliable scientific data about the sources and scale of methane emissions globally, with the ultimate goal of driving reductions in the near future.

NATO underfunding is a major concern. The US taxpayer is at breaking point, a record National Debt that keeps getting larger.Unsustainable.

Why should USA bankroll Europe's defence? It's about time everyone paid their way imo.
Including us. 2% of GDP, farcical.

Europe will always buy American weaponry because it is simply better in most regards.
Look at the farce surrounding sale of Fighter jets to Saudi - delayed for how long due to German intransigence.

Across the spectrum many US weapons systems are simply superior.

But concur, either way BAe should do well....

Biden and the constants wars doing a good job of driving away Europe and the rest of the world more so in my opinion!

Gecko, not sure that the European market is a small one, as exemplified by that Danish contract. Putin has clearly stirred up the defence agenda in a lot of European countries closer than us , and Trumps rantings about NATO underfunding won't be any reassurance to them. I saw it suggested that if Trump drives the US further away from Europe, then European countries might look at buying European weapons not American ones. Either way BAe is well placed I suspect.

BAE Systems has been selected by the Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC) to provide a prototype ground system for the U.S. Space Force’s SSC Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution Command and Control (FORGE C2) project.

The goal of the FORGE C2 effort is to evolve the current ground architecture, leveraging newer technologies and architecture approaches. BAE Systems will integrate proven capabilities into a prototype ground system that will allow the Space Force to provide command and control capabilities for Next-Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) GEO (NGG) and Next-Generation OPIR Polar (NGP) systems as well as enabling the transition of the legacy Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) assets.
