gioscouk - i'm looking to exit at about 400 which will make us both happy ;-)

as for the Times "experts" - looking at their tips for 2008 and how they fared (down 40% on average with the biggest gainer being 5% and the biggest faller 90%) i'm more than happy they've tipped BAB. Quite how they thought 2008 was gonna be a good year for housebuilders/property and the like i'll never know!

macansy77: yes, maybe we have not seen the bottom yet; my point is that BAB, at the moment, appears to be a bit pricey and quite solid (apart of the 350m debt with facility secured at 600m for next 4 years to come), when compared with the large part of the stocks around. In a medium term perspective (second half of 2009 onwards), I'm still monitoring this share, willing to entry at about 400, in the case. Cheers.

GiusCoUK - you could well be right, i've got around 450 as support so looking at a break below that. Many analysts seem to be coming out of the woodwork at the moment calling last November the bottom of the market. I think they're wrong, though very short term looks like there will be good opps in the market on the long side...

Tipped again - share of the year for 2009 by S.Times writer. 10 S.Times business journalists each tip one share for 2009.

macansy77: there are a few stocks in FTSE 250 (and FTSE 100) going cyclic since the bottom last october; FTSE 100 at 4560 could be surely corrected towards 4000 this month, but, even the case, I can't see a freefall at BAB: the old support at 390-400 should do the rest. This company appears to be a solid punt, probably overpriced but not a disaster zone at all.

happy new year Redd - looking forward to getting back into action, i'm bored ridged ;-)

thanks masurenguy, just going on technicals rather than fundamentals on BAB. Would like to think i'm genuine, as for intelligent though - that's another matter!

macansy77 is not a deramper - I'm not endorsing his view on BAB, since this is not a share that I've extensively researched, but he is an intelligent and genuine poster.

shame the Times doesn't take into account short term technical factors - that chart is showing the stock over bought and extremely over-extended. The stock may well prove a winner over 12 months but over the next one to two months it's surely a cracking short, if it breaks 450 it'll likely freefall...

I think that you're right - Christmas Eve close was 490.5p so current price of 500p is an increase of just under 2%.

Bought in yesterday at £4.72 and again at £4.67. I feel the same way. Bought because directors bought last month and the chart is in a definite upward trend. Here's hoping.
