UK Steel said at current electricity prices it was already impossible for steel producers to be profitable at certain times of day or night and urged the government and the regulator to intervene.

Global Brexit Britain.

Only when the price is right, eh Brexit Bozos?

I wonder whether the US is going to underwrite Australia's commodity exports to China?

Note: Look at performance of commodity exporters to China on the FTSE 100 today.

LOL

Daft move by the Australian PM.

This will be good for Bab in the medium and long term. They are already doing good work in Australia and have a footprint in submarine and warship support. They are also a more natural partner than BAE which will play well in work share. This and South Korea are likely to be material. The tide seems to be turning for Bab.

I took off the shareholder loans Webbszobe, but take your point on the leases.

This gets them over £400 Million with more likely to come. The Rail business is unlikely to be considered core and there are more profitable areas of the aviation business that will be on buyers radar screens. The earlier sale of the oil and gas helicopter business for £10 Million also relieved them of over £100 Million lease commitments. The turnaround is on track and the tone of the 6 months results announcement later in the year will be interesting.

Another sale, although this one is only for £10m. The focus on the core business and raising cash continues.
