What I mean is it takes a little while to turn a ship around that has been floundering. But I appreciate that I am coming from a perspective that has not been burdened with years of disappointment, as some here may have experienced. And I may be wrong of course. GLA.

I think frustrated LTH's who have not already sold up should consider giving David Lockwood a chance here. Been doing some further research into his profile and I increasingly like what I see. But time will tell of course. GLA.

I think you are right.
bab has disappointed for so long it is going to take a while before it generates a really positive following.

Slightly surprised the share price has not formed a new base around the 310p mark; perhaps a few stale bulls and traders heading for the exits? Fairly relaxed holder anyway and might add a few for a side pot if we drift back down to the 290p area. Would be surprised if it went much lower than that, but I am often surprised, so this one might be no exception :)

Looking forward to the next round of broker ratings here after that most satisfactory update. Not fully valued here by a long shot, IMO, and wondering whether I should rethink my initial target exit price, assuming it comes to pass. In this economic climate though, I am undecided. Even allowing for this defensive sector play in these globally volatile, conflict-ridden times.

And on low volume also - Simply has to be a few broker re-ratings after these half-year results. All on track and defence emerging once again as an in-favour stock. Well done management. ;-)

Pleasantly surprised that the update was this well received. Up 8.5 percent as I write.Fingers crossed that it is a longer term re-rating of the share upwards.

The management certainly seems to have steadied the ship. After all those black holes it is pleasing to see a stable set of figures and the maintenance of the outlook. The new more focused business with a good pipeline gives confidence.

Foundations stabilised - so looking a lot better to target growth.
So no more black holes hopefully.
Suet - reasonably satisfied.

I am hoping that any kitchen-sinking of bad prior stuff has already been done, otherwise my timing here will be poor! That said, I have confidence in this management team, based on their track record elsewhere, so unless it is a disaster, I am ready to add to my position if we see weakness thereafter. A cracking update would be preferable, though :)

Taken a small position here. Was going to wait until after tomorrow, but I am hopeful that this area will not be hammered in the upcoming cuts. Looking for 320 ish, although if the management team deliver, I may keep it as a LTH. GLA.

Very positive opening this morning on a down day. Is it the yacht news or something else?

I can only assume that this great contract win with the Australian's was already factored in during July as it has not moved the price.Still, congratulations to the team for this impressive win.

W, I'll settle for 50pts (£100pp).

I wonder if Thales opened an office locally, just to entice the talent?

Naughty French peeps.
