Shambo - the chart. 364 was the share price peak last Decemeber. In charting terms, there is nothng now stopping it retesting this level unless we break below 310 (which is now acting as support). ;-)

Ariane - It helps when you know even just a little about the company you are posting about (dividend has been suspended). ;-)

Well, if you told me day of the results that we'd be up more than 20% 10 days later, I'd have bitten your hand off! Good weekend all, the lack of posts here is an indication of just how few now follow BAB but I'd expect that to change quite notably in the next couple of months. ;-)

Agree, its not part of the core business & I am no expert
but why would you sell a business that has been generating £100.5 million?

Surely there must be other parts of the business that is not genrating any revenue that they must dispose off?

Agree, and from a technical viewpoint, that's resistance @ 310 smashed in a second, meaning last Novemeber's high of 360 is the next target. Also explains the rather unexpected and rapid recovery from results day - a few knew this was coming. ;-)

Yes "only" targetting £400m of disposals so 75% there in one transaction.
Well done.

Key Points

Overnight, MSCI’s aggregate gauge of global stock markets hit a new record high.

“Arguably, markets are now more focused on the state of play regarding Covid, and in particular, the spread of the Delta variant,” Xian Chan, chief investment officer for wealth management at HSBC, said in a note.

LONDON — European markets are heading for a cautious open Friday, as investors assessed global economic indicators and rising Covid-19 cases in the search for direction.

Britain’s FTSE 100 is seen around 7 points higher at 7,200, Germany’s DAX is set to add around 7 points to 15,945 and France’s CAC 40 is set to nudge around 2 points higher to 6,884, according to IG data.

If you look at the alterations in reporting, although welcome of course, seem to be a deliberate attempt to attract bidders IMO. I wonder if Serco is renewing interest.
