28/11/2023 11:59 | Yes very good research richie1218, many thanks I suspect the link, however, to AB's Lloyds "hankering" is purely coincidental. I'm assuming she is looking for broader access than just Canadian Motor | ![]() makinbuks

27/11/2023 19:24 | I was just doing a bit of research into Optiom, and this maybe nothing, but apparently it' has Coverholder status at Lloyds, we all know that AB has been hankering after joining the Lloyds of London insurance club and maybe Optiom could be a step to obtaining that goal... or maybe not ? "Optiom is a specialty MGU of insurance products, offering vehicle replacement coverage with Lloyd's Coverholder status. Optiom offers a wide range of protections for both total losses and partial losses to ensure protection of their customers' assets." What does it mean to be a Lloyd's coverholder? A Coverholder is a company or partnership authorised to enter into a contract of insurance on behalf of a Lloyd's syndicate in accordance with the terms of a binding authority. | ![]() richie1218

27/11/2023 07:47 | Small(By Aviva's standards) bolt-on acquisition by Aviva this morning:- Tracy Garrad, Chief Executive Officer of Aviva Canada, said: "The acquisition strengthens our offering and distribution capabilities in a highly attractive segment of the Canadian insurance market. We know Optiom well through our existing relationship and are excited about what we can do together to better serve our brokers and customers." The acquisition is consistent with our capital management framework, which remains unchanged. We continue to anticipate further regular and sustainable returns of surplus capital. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory approvals and is expected to close in Q1 2024. | ![]() cwa1
