Bit taken aback by the rise of phnx today

In light of which I have pulled all my offers across all shares and have left only bids

But to put your minds at rest I will no longer state any levels I want to sell or buy at as it must be very irritating

So go forth enjoy the Rising ? markets

Good luck everyone

A lot of that supposed £5 billion return to shareholders has unfortunately been wasted on buybacks that have seen a lower share price after them. I.e a waste if money and no reward at all.

Had expected a follow through in rising share price today but alas . Nice write up in The Times re Singapore sale.
Singapore was valued at 400m sold for 500m
Amanda raised 8 Billion from international sales in 3 years.
Returned 5 Billion to shareholders
Yet share price fallen 12% this year

what a great day for AV and long term AV shareholders reminds me of the days we used to get with AV shares popping 10, 15, 20p a day instead of the constant erosion of value we have seen of late, well done AB. more of the same please ... gl all

In line with my thoughts on the other two shares in my triumverate thought 383/384 might be a bit toppish for Aviva in the current circumstances
This move up today has taken me by surprise but has not negated my view as euphoria at the news while welcome has not taken away from my previous calls.
It will take as long as it takes but I will not be persuaded by gung ho statements from other investors.
I still believe we will have to wait for Phnx to profer their results before we see any significant move up or down.

Phnx Strongest share holding everything up at the moment

...As I keep saying, value ALWAYS wins out.

It does Spud I agree but the timescale for it to win out can be very long sometimes.

Generally, asset sales like this enhance value whilst acquisitions reduce it.

A good level

I have no idea at this time

I am just not comfortable with the movement of the three shares I recognise as belonging in the same bracket Aviva lgen and Phnx so until one makes a sustained move up I will hold on and not invest anymore

I am overweight in lgen for reasons I have explained but am keeping a watchful eye but not yet convinced on the other two.

Hope this explains my preference is for cash but have been adding banks as and when

Take care
