08/8/2012 19:57 | Cheers yorgi, thought as much.. | ![]() burkedavid
08/8/2012 19:14 | No obvious reason David other than the usual fluctuations, Hylas 2 just launched successfully and all the news flow from the company has beeb good so it would look like a good time to buy/add. I'm afraid I don't think AVN has still not shaken off the doubters from last year who tried to sow seeds of doubt. If all goes to plan as up to now it would appear to be at some stage their will be a rapid move north in my view...but I have thought that for a long time ! | ![]() yorgi
08/8/2012 19:07 | Steady drop here the last few days.. Any reason ? Looking to add a few of these | ![]() burkedavid
08/8/2012 18:49 | you can bed and ISA at the approproate time. | ![]() verymaryhinge
08/8/2012 17:59 | I wish I had some free cash to take advantage of this price as this surely is bargain looking at 12 months plus ! However it wouldn't be a bad thing if it stayed around here until we move to the main market then buy in ISA for the longer view. | ![]() yorgi
08/8/2012 17:52 | sorry john should have posted the link silly me | ![]() wilksey1
08/8/2012 17:18 | wilksey! - Thanks, but I just don't understand that as it relates to 'the sat will be turned on by the w/end' added: OK. Got it. It's clearer from colva's post. | johncsimpson
08/8/2012 17:17 | Thanks wilksey. | colva
08/8/2012 17:05 | chrissey more amazing that we are half the price of post Hylas 1 launch no worries anyway - see some of you in 2015 :-) | ![]() geheimnis2

08/8/2012 16:41 | amazing, price below H2 pre launch. not a penny in the price for post launch de-risk. I guess the risk of failure to launch was zero or -ive. in this case. Maybe the market was expecting a failure and, in its view, a more value enhancing insurance claim and return of funds to shareholders? | chrissey
08/8/2012 16:34 | restassured 8 Aug'12 - 16:19 - 10079 of 10079 Last year it was about 15 days after launch before the systems status announcement on Hylas1. wilksey1 7 Aug'12 - 15:02 - 10061 of 10078 hopefully it will start to go up next week,if all goes well the sat will be turned on by the w/end Not what I read. Quote: 03 August 2012 Avanti Communications Group plc HYLAS 2 successfully launched and now in orbit . . . . David Williams, Chief Executive of Avanti Communications, commented: "I'm delighted that our second satellite, HYLAS 2, has been successfully launched and is operating under our control. It will now undertake a series of pre-planned in orbit acceptance tests over the coming three months before we commence service for customers. -------------------- wilksey - I don't know where you get 'the sat will be turned on by the w/end' from. The 345 area is now the likely support unless there are contract announcements. I wouldn't buy back (unless there are such announcements) above this price. I wrote the following on the other board (part of post 213 on 2nd Aug): Away from this 'technical reporting' we have the potential for new sales. This, dare I say, is unlikely to materialise until there has been a successful launch, deployment and testing. No one is likely to move beyond their current commitments (apart from maybe topping them up on Hylas1) until this is announced. Similarly new business will be held back by the same restraints. This does not mean that AVN will not have contacts drawn up and in the pipeline just that they may not be signed for some time. | johncsimpson

08/8/2012 16:09 | Yorgi , yes, but i'v got enough tucked away for the longer term so i'm hoping these are a short term trade , though the definition of a long term hold is a short term trade gone wrong so i might have to hold them for a while . | colva
08/8/2012 15:04 | Keeping your eye open for a bargain Colva :-) I don't have any spare cash at the moment sadly :-( | ![]() yorgi

08/8/2012 10:25 | I was expecting that AVN would announce this week that all is OK (so far) with Hylas 2. I was also expecting at least one new contract announcement for Hylas 2. These were my assumptions in my forecast of 450p by the end of the week. I expect to see some positive share price movement when these announcements arrive. | garymott
08/8/2012 08:48 | To be honest I am not really that surprised re the share price at present. What gives me confidence in AVN is that they are delivering what they promised - however there are stll risks attached to the company. I think once the market has a clearer view of revenues then the share price will take care of itself ( and should reward holders handsomely) | dunluce
