Just reading the last Cenkos note on it. They reckon the cost of satellites is c. £415m (£135m for Hylas 1 and £280m for Hylas 2) less c. £205m of debt associated and with the £75m recent raise gives a net asset value of £285m or 256p/share. Surely this gets bought out if the price remains around this level?

Fair bit of volume today, someone's not hanging around. Currently 600, 000+ and highest over last 9 months was 900, 000 on 6/02/2012. Last few days have seen an increased amount of selling, i have been a holder of AVN twice but have been stopped out along the way. Will be looking for an entry but with such relentless selling pressure would rather wait and buy at a higher price with the momentum going up, not down, good luck bottom picker's (it's a naughty habit!)

There recruitment has always been at that level.

The issue is finding the right individuals and I doubt Avanti could attract them.

I read somewhere that where you have steady selling going on it often ends with a sharp final sell-off. assuming we have had a forced seller, maybe that is what is happening today, as well as triggering a bunch of stop=losses I shouldn't wonder.

this share is a complete puzzle. it's had a huge recent II funding at above the then current share price (let alone now), with several existing big investors taking part as well as Singapore govt. it's had several contract wins and director buys. nothing negative at all. and yet still it drops.

unfortunately I don't have any cash for topping up. but I'm seriously thinking about selling something else to buy a few more of these.

there are too many examples of share price movements ahead of news (good or bad), I hope this isn't yet another one.

The price is really dreadful and as others point out, lower than pre Hylas 1.

It's almost as if there is more risk with the satellites in space than on the ground, this does not bode well for H2 launch.

I hope H2 is a PS3 rather than another bakofoil wrapped XBox.

bump3r - from memory the options will be awarded in june time roughly

if we get the £170m, clearly that should be a huge boost for AVN

The contracts are due to be signed with ESA in March for HYLAS3.
The £2.80p placing was to commit funding upfront of ESA making their decision.

Maybe the market is awaiting confirmation

I have bought in this morning as it looks like a busy period coming up.

Can anyone shed any light on £170mln military options for HYLAS2. When is this likely to be confirmed .

Volvo,we have not had a holdings rns on this seller which I would have expected by now. Most of today's 'sales' are ATs. It seems to me that these are being cycled between connected parties to attack the share price Why? I was led to believe competitor/s were behind the negative story a couple of weeks ago about the loss of slot for Hylas2. Could they be competing with us for a large contract and are throwing everything at us to achieve their goal? It would be good to see one or two of the IIs that took part in the recent placing at 280p follow up their investment at these levels. Their DD would already have been done. The price action does not correlate with the news flow. Either negative news afoot or big bounce due. Directors' buying would seem to indicate against the former. As always,dyor.
