30/1/2011 10:40 | Nice piece in todays Sunday Times in support of satellite technology, Avanta and Hylas1 lead the article. Nothing new really except to confirm that satellite is a fast growing market, good place to be, recession proof. | ![]() paleje
29/1/2011 15:32 | Could you all please buy 100,000 shares on Monday to push the price up??? | ![]() pojscott
28/1/2011 12:09 | Yes I think excellent is more to the point Backmarker.......All we need is the share price to show some confidence | ![]() yorgi
28/1/2011 11:32 | kimball, excellent find. I particularly liked this bit: While several prospective Ka-band satellite operators have reported trouble in securing orbital slots and frequencies in their desired coverage areas, Avanti says it has plenty. "We have enough spectrum available to launch perhaps 20 satellites," Williams says. | ![]() backmarker
27/1/2011 19:37 | Very good Chrissey :-) | ![]() yorgi
27/1/2011 19:00 | we should form a branch of the SAS 'satellite appreciation society'? | chrissey
27/1/2011 17:27 | Thanks for that Kimball | ![]() yorgi
27/1/2011 17:25 | I was wondering what the wee birdy sign was for. | ![]() volsung

27/1/2011 13:41 | Slipped back a bit through the day but I still think we are heading back up again.... Have to get my guessing stick out and calculate my profits even if they are not as good as they were :-( | ![]() yorgi
27/1/2011 11:44 | Yorgi 2. No competition to satellite technology for remote areas that is developed at present Really and I'm the one that is shouted down, control control control as I've saiud all along complete and utter BS. Get the blinkers off mate | ![]() superg1
27/1/2011 11:17 | Yes Backmarker I remember the ZX80 and Sir Clive's first calculators, I still have my "guessing stick" somewhere. Well we are up still not soaring away but heading in the right direction. | ![]() yorgi
27/1/2011 08:44 | A new upward trend would be nice ! | ![]() pojscott
27/1/2011 08:20 | good start this morning. trend reversal definitely in progress. | ![]() backmarker
27/1/2011 01:30 | no seriously yorgi et al, I read somewhere that 90% of functioning earth orbit satellites have less than 25% of the computing power of an X box 360. I guess they dont need it and the less the better when a service visit for a reboot would cost more than the normal Geek Squad rate! It is just a box with a few bits and pieces to enable communications and some routing, lots of tin foil, a gyroscope and those flashing lights that no one can see. I'm quite happy to know that, the less to go wrong, the better we sleep. | chrissey
27/1/2011 00:28 | it appears that Wednesday's rise may just about have broken through the downtrend line. we need another day or two of solid rises to confirm this, but I'm hopeful. | ![]() backmarker
26/1/2011 23:57 | yorgi, in that case you'll probably remember the ZX80, too ;~} fortunately, HYLAS-1 is a bit more sophisticated than that, or an Xbox. still, it would be amusing to imagine the HYLAS test engineers playing Pong on it during their tea-breaks. | ![]() backmarker
26/1/2011 23:03 | I'll give you a clue.....I remember The Commodore Pet ! | ![]() yorgi
26/1/2011 22:50 | see you aren't a techie then yorgi? either that or just very old. they didn't put your sense of humour in the rocket and send that up as well did they? maybe when they turn Hylas on, it will get beamed back? :-) | chrissey
26/1/2011 21:38 | Then we will have a multitude of Xboxes in the sky and everyone will be able to have their own xbox in the sky.......What's an Xbox Chrissey :-) ? A box for keeping oxo in ? | ![]() yorgi
26/1/2011 21:33 | it's still an Xbox in the sky, what if everyone starts launching them, particularly the slim versions, less weight, more chips! | chrissey
26/1/2011 19:27 | 1. Satellite performing above expectations and is online. 2. No competition to satellite technology for remote areas that is developed at present and from research demand is greater than supply So both wrong I'm pleased to be able to correct you attrader | ![]() yorgi |
