24/7/2012 08:59 | Don't want to worry anyone here, but in the piture in the 2nd link from backmarker, the bloke on the right looks like he's casually having a poo while the others are working hard: John | ![]() 2350220
24/7/2012 08:53 | Well done Backmarker I'll add them to the header. | ![]() yorgi

24/7/2012 08:40 | mms are having fun and making loads on bad/good news and thin trading during the holiday period, a good time to buy on violent downturns but risky | ![]() malcolmmm
24/7/2012 08:36 | Grabbed a decent chunk under 330p in the rout yesterday. E-mail alerts on price movements works better than hard stop losses. You can than make your decision based on newsflow, etc at the time of alert. | ![]() aishah
24/7/2012 08:22 | Only 9 more days until launch of Hylas 2. Should get some decent publicity. | ![]() restassured
24/7/2012 07:45 | Agreed John. Easy to be wise after the event, we would all be a lot wealthier with hindsight. | ![]() yorgi
23/7/2012 23:17 | Sorry, but I think that's somewhat unfair comment Divin. For any stock to go down 25% in one day without any bad news such as a profits warning, Directors selling, targets not hit etc can only be construed as manipulation/Stop chasing IMHO. So to suggest that someone who has been around this game as long as Count Chris is naive because they got caught by such a drastic move against them, is somewhat gloating and unwarranted I feel. Surely we all want each other to do well by this stock. At least I do. And I've been caught out by such ridiculous and uncalled for moves myself in the past, both by this stock and by others. So as a long term share holder AND a spread better too, I can see Count Chris' point. John | ![]() 2350220
23/7/2012 22:56 | Count Chris 23 Jul'12 - 18:21 - 9712 of 9718 Oh dear - I was out for the day and a stop loss sold half my holding during the blip. It was in profit but this definately wasn't the plan. I wonder if stop losses are worth it sometimes - it really does look like the MM's shafted us today. Well done to those who bought. -------------------- running stop losses on AIM stocks you can only blame yourself its a big NO NO are you a newbie? | divinausa1
23/7/2012 21:24 | Crooks thieves and bandits the lot of 'em. They've learned how to manipulate stop losses to drive their turnover and pick up cheap stock. Double bonus. Don't use stop losses myself. Just trust my instinct. It has cost me dear in the past though. | ![]() buck581
23/7/2012 19:30 | S&P 500 not so far down at the moment, a tad over 1%; that tends to give the rest of the world fortitude. I'd also say the very rapid recovery from the spike down, near complete recovery in fact, demonstrates significant support at these levels and anything lower. Also by confession a lot of stops were triggered and that means they won't be there tomorrow or the day after. Of course we can go down but so long as we avoid technical disasters the day when we are under valued on pure financial terms and no longer a speculative play is not that far away. | ![]() hpcg
23/7/2012 18:44 | Chris, It would appear a stop loss was not a good idea but all depends on at what price and where we go tomorrow which I would say is anybody's guess now. | ![]() yorgi

23/7/2012 16:31 | Well you can laugh or you can cry depending on your timeframe. Personally I laughed and bought more. Time will tell but at the moment no news is good news. | ![]() jpfd
23/7/2012 15:21 | Have a look at the 2010 chart - the share price seems to have performed similarly before Hylas 1 was launced and it then recovered strongly prior to and after the launch, at least for a while! | ![]() dolores123
23/7/2012 14:43 | Directors were buying shed loads in the 335p area last year. | ![]() aishah
23/7/2012 14:28 | arghh, was hoping to get a trading entry at 350 and completely missed that event, whatever it was. Oh well, I still expect to spend some time in the area, or maybe even a bit lower given the immediate market state. This looks like turning into a mirror image of the way down so I'm just trying to pick entries and exits for trading; my long term holdings can relax whilst these shenanigans play out. Self tutoring lesson 1. Put down some outrageously low limit orders on the buy and some outrageously high limit orders on the sell. | ![]() hpcg

23/7/2012 14:10 | feel for you backmarker - one has to question how this happened. for this reason, i really do caution about spreadbetting, volatility is a killer. | ![]() edwardt

23/7/2012 14:06 | now that was fun, a flash crash in front of our eyes. let's hope the satellite does not do something similar - well done all who dived in. like the first day of the sales with the scrum to the checkout. | ![]() edwardt |
