The long term chart graph above looks v.interesting - strong case for £5 fairly soon, with perhaps a brief stop @ £4.50.
Still don't know why we are not ahead of the pre hylas 1 price of £7 after all we are further down the line now with proven sales & a much bigger satellite about to boost revenues big time.

The latest on Avanti

Now a word about a share that has given me a few sleepless nights - and this despite the fact that the share price has doubled since my original recommendation in 2008.

This is AVANTI COMMUNICATIONS (AVN). The share price shot up in 2010, only to retreat last year. There have been plenty of doubters out there, but I have not yet seen anything to really make me doubt my original thesis. Now the share price is on the up once again, and this week we had further confirmation that things are on track.

In February Avanti said that it will achieve revenue of 'no less than £17m' from the first satellite HYLAS 1, in the year to June 30th and this week it has reported that 'total revenues are expected to be £17.8m' – and these can only have come from HYLAS 1. It also says that in order to meet its objectives of selling all the capacity of HYLAS 1 and HYLAS 2 within three and four years of service launch, respectively, it needs to add approximately £11m per month to its backlog. 'In the eight months since Avanti established this KPI (Key Performance Indicator) it has exceeded this target.'

This still begs questions about pricing and costs, while we still need to see HYLAS 2 get safely airborne on August 2nd. But my firm impression is that things are going very much according to plan and this is now reflected in the trend of the share price. BUY UP TO 750p (Current Price: 363.5p)

i think we may settle around 450p after launch - with plenty of upside for later in the year and 2013

Good week on the high side of what my charts were predicting but rightly or wrongly I've made four sales and sold just over half my holdings yesterday and today, the last sale being for 400p just after mid-day today.

I've been buying / adding to my BPC holding in the 8.1p area with the funds . . .

The satelitte will be insured but not the loss of revenues.

It is only a slim chance anyway.

Yes your quite right Parvez it is insured but I still somehow think there would be an initial dive........but we won't dwell on that :-)

I am looking for 450p by July and 650p by August - i wonder if some of the "big boys" are running the slide rule over AVN? all IMHO ofcourse

Ah but events such as these are normally insured against so no submarine like action i am afraid :)
