30/6/2010 07:14 | Down...????? I just don't get it.... should be heading close to 80p.. | chrisdgb
30/6/2010 06:58 | I just hope they haven't run up ahead of results only to get hammered again after what we hope is a one-off loss. It is to me typical of this company that they didn't take the opportunity at the update to state that there would be a loss for the half year. What on earth do they lose? In their PR they are jaw-droppingly DIM. I'm just amazed that this lot never seem to learn about timely and sensible communication. For all that, IMHO the way ahead looks much clearer now production is back up and the PPs are all dealt with. A good high yielding long term buy at these prices, I reckon. Is anyone on here knowledgeable re reclamation/regenera | labatie
28/6/2010 17:13 | SRG (Scottish Resources Group) is hoping to list. They are the country's second largest coal producer, and the largest open cast coal miner. This should make ATH easier to value, and hopefully support the ATH share price. Nigel Martin | gnnmartin
28/6/2010 14:29 | let us hope the results on Wednesday put a nice floor under this one.. | chrisdgb
28/6/2010 11:02 | I think has been tarred with same brush as UKC But is everything that they are not. And has improving rather than deteriorating balance sheet. From all that I can see is insanely cheap. new coal assets being cherry on the top. don't grumble about the share price. it is massive buying opportunity. | undervaluedassets
28/6/2010 10:41 | +1p, quite unbelievable! However, looking at Scott Wilson SWG this morning gives you some idea how out of touch some valuations are. | loafofbread
28/6/2010 10:23 | thanks for the posts, this is amzing news in terms of the reserves....!!!! cannot understand why we are not up massively..?? | chrisdgb
28/6/2010 07:53 | great news | spaceparallax
27/6/2010 08:42 | Netherton was in front of the planning commitee 2 months ago with an expectation of being passed. Thanks to the input of a few on that commitee (pita types that have been given to much power by our rubbish planning system) it was kicked to the long grass because of road access issues. The planners who had worked on it for 6 months gave their approval. Such is life. I think that result has caused the recent weakness. ATH have had to amend those issues and it went before commitee on Friday morning where it was approved. Once ATH has done the legal lose ends it becomes official aka the other planning RNS for Dun........ I would think the results were pushed back due to the above delay. 5 Million tonnes is £250M at last years prices and underpins this company for the next 6 years. Regardless of the actual results this gives certainty to the market and is why the analysts have been invited (imho) I hope for a good week (even though I have been wrong so far) All of the above is in the public domain/websites etc but does take a bit of finding. A polite phone manner also helps. | loafofbread
25/6/2010 16:07 | loaf Well researched. Thanks. Let's hope the results clear the clouds a bit over this one So long as there's not a PS "Oh and by the way..." comment. Re yr previous post, I'm still trying to work out yr point b). Does it still refer to ATH? | labatie
25/6/2010 12:21 | Hate to give the game away and let the PI have a chance for once to make some money but approval just been given for the Netherton application. That's another 4.1M tonnes in the bag (subject to the usual sec 75)which guarantees production 6 years out and not an unuseful £200M gross income. Quite what even the sour grapes from evolution (upgraded us to hold 72p on last weeks consent which is a fifth of the size) will have to say is anyone's guess! Jolly good idea to invite all the analysts next wednesday and explain why with these two planning consents under our belts we are just a little bit undervalued. Any questions? | loafofbread
14/6/2010 09:48 | welcome good news. | spaceparallax

02/6/2010 15:27 | This from ATH's PR firm Further to your enquiry regarding progress with the planning application at Duncanziemuir, which is an extension to the Laigh Glenmuir mine, I can advise you on behalf of ATH Resources that the application has not yet been determined. ATH will issue a stock exchange announcement when any planning application is determined, so should you be linked to the news announcement either through their company website or London Stock Exchange page. You will be advised at the earliest opportunity. Best wishes Sarah | cnx
