16/3/2010 20:42 | A delayed buy of 25K yesterday and a pretty decent 50K at full offer today.Positions being taken for the pre-close statement on the 1st April? I'm looking for a pound prior to the statement and a rerating afterwards based on a 'profits to exceed expectations' kind of thing. Regeneration deals, home or abroad and planning consent would be a bonus. Not reading the tea leaves but based on a combination of facts. Coldest winter for 30 years. Increased demand from both domestic and power. Coal price increase maintained. Foreign/import price more expensive due to weak pound. Production problems at UKC must have helped other producers fill the hole. Thoughts anyone? | loafofbread
13/3/2010 13:49 | Coal merchants record huge increase in sales see FT Sat. Also Longannet power station receives huge funding from parliament towards carbon capture should firm up need for coal in the future. Ssords | ssords
12/3/2010 09:19 | was that a buy or a worked sell? | spaceparallax
11/3/2010 19:36 | 50K buy at the full ask and not a flicker! | loafofbread
09/3/2010 17:37 | All in good time | spaceparallax
09/3/2010 16:07 | Watching the goings on at UKC today you would have to be mad to sell out of a coal miner. Surprised this hasn't had a lift on the back of the news. | loafofbread
03/3/2010 10:04 | Quotes on our side again. 25k/1.5k | loafofbread
02/3/2010 16:05 | spark of life | spaceparallax
02/3/2010 15:10 | All change on the quote front. No stock to be had, sell 25k/750 buy (25k/25k earlier) 80p by close please. | loafofbread
02/3/2010 14:44 | Anyone feel like giving Tom a call and having a chat? | loafofbread
02/3/2010 14:40 | probably a good rational | spaceparallax
02/3/2010 13:30 | This share price gone strangely quiet after a good run. Will the next trend be down? not sure. The main reason that I bght in ie a mixture of energy technology (wind/water/nuclear and coal) still seems the way the nation will go and ATH should be in a strong position esp given that clean coal still a long way off sadly should give this relatively cheap fuel an extra boost. But take the profit or not? Ssords | ssords
22/2/2010 16:57 | I see it as a positive sign for the Oz coal industry and thus our plans for the OZ ath regeneration deal which stalled last year due to the economic situation. | loafofbread
22/2/2010 16:43 | Interesting about the OZ coal deal. When we built coal fired generator close by Pearl River just up from Hong Kong the coal to run it was coming from Oz. Not sure how that affects this share price Ssords | ssords
21/2/2010 16:54 | Decent 25k buy and 18k bought on plus. | loafofbread
20/2/2010 13:42 | regardig dividends ...the co paid around 11p a share up to 2007 . As 46% of shares are owned by insts, which include Alchemy, there is likely to be pressure to restore div to prev levels. The share price was over £2 until 2008.With the planning rec'd in midlands and Scotland ,future revenue is likely to be bigger than even in the good yrs ime and I am looking to recovery in share price to former levels. Cheap, cheap! | meadow50
19/2/2010 11:56 | At least the online quotes are back in our favour. Excellent results and outlook from Hargreaves this week make this price even more of a steal. The recent $60B Oz/china coal deal and the opening up of new areas points to the Oz coal mining sector returning to growth. Perhaps the Oz regeneration deal might get a look in after all. Take a look at the results to see just how much money we make from the regeneration side. Happy to pay for the ticket if he comes back with a deal. | loafofbread
18/2/2010 15:07 | yes................. | cnx
17/2/2010 14:24 | the paying of divis can be viewed several ways. It can be a genuine desire to share profits with holders, or it could be a desperate attempt to prop-up the share price I'm not sure that confident behaviour is necessarily the best description - it could prove to be the case, but alternatively it might be looked upon subsequently as an inopportune divestment of capital. Only time will tell. | spaceparallax
17/2/2010 08:55 | Hell of a buying opp building here. Sliding in sympathy with UKC (which is in intensive care and may not survive IMHO) but nothing could be further from the truth with regard to ATH which is well exemplified by fact that it paid out £2.4 million in dividends at recent finals. This ability to throw off cash in a recession from a co with only a £30 million market cap is really confident behaviour. | undervaluedassets
11/2/2010 14:51 | Coldest winter for 30 years and a domestic coal producer is knocked for six by a few small sells. FFS get the broker to make a comment or two, or better still get Tom out front and centre. | loafofbread
04/2/2010 20:15 | Holding up well with a few decent buys towards the end. | loafofbread
03/2/2010 10:22 | have you seen the cashflow per share numbers - 35p per share ! good opp to top up. little known stock that is doing very nicely thank you. | undervaluedassets |
