Annual results due on Tuesday |
Great reentry price for shares I sold at 385...
Probably retrenched on FTSE250 disappointment because...
This is a Europe based pure copper play with copper close to a 10 month high and set for $5....
Plus a raft of good news to come this year.. |
explains the difference between UK and US prices:
Comex HG #copper's 9% premium over LME, and speculation about the timing and size of US tariffs on imports, continue to support increased shipments to the US, in the process underpinning global prices. In other words, this rally is driven by relocation of stocks and not increased demand from end users. |
hxxps://worldmarketlive.com/lme-price-live-real-time-metal-price/#google_vignette Currently 4.85 or 9764 depending on what you prefer as a measure. |
Out of interest where does it show CU @ $4.80 ? Kitco shows $4.39 |
ATYM awarded strategic status last June so we must be close to the environmental permit given that they thought the whole project would be permitted in a year under this status. Then again this is Spain. Should get an update on this in the results next week. |
Copper over 4.80 usd not too far from all time high of 5.20 per pound.. |
They would probably say theres too many natural resource companies in the index...
But how can they announce ATYM's indicative entry last week...the MCap stays well over £500m and then they miss out...? |
Wonder if this has anything to do with it? If so looks good for Sept 25 review
Sterling Denominated Price Requirement
From September 2025, securities which trade in non-GBP currencies (i.e. Euros or US Dollars) will be considered for potential inclusion to the FTSE UK Index Series, if otherwise eligible. Currently, the FTSE UK Index Eligibility Criteria specifies that only securities trading in Sterling are eligible for inclusion to the FTSE UK Index Series. Inclusion will still require a UK nationality and a listing on the Equity Shares (Commercial Companies) or Closed-ended investment fund categories, as set out in the FTSE UK Index Series ground rules.
As things stand, there are no companies immediately eligible for inclusion on the effective date of this change to the inclusion criteria. However, the actual and longer-term impact to the composition of the indices will be guided by changes to the underlying market and specifically index eligible securities opting to trade in Euros or US Dollars. |
Absolutely stunned!
Close Brothers £513 million and THG £425 million were admitted instead...
Absolutely crooked! |
Shame. Odd though. |
We didn't make it into FTSE250 this time ... hxxps://www.lseg.com/en/media-centre/press-releases/ftse-russell/2025/ftse-uk-index-series-review-march-2025 |
RNS shortly.. |
I wonder if one of the current constituents is shorting ATYM to try and keep it out of the FTSE250...
MCap currently £516 million, which still places us 236... |
We WILL enter the FTSE250.
The preliminary decision was made at COB on Monday night.
There are at lease TEN Companies with a MCap more than £50 million less than ours so we would have to slump almost 10% i.e. to 350p by COB next Monday...
Get ready to profit from the steady appreciation with several pieces of good news to come this year...
And the 15 year old share price is utterly irrelevant...we only started producing ore 8 years ago...just look at the Lassonde Curve...
You weren't invested here even 14 years ago. I was... |
Quirky.
"Everyone seems to have a different interpretation".
We'll all find out soon enough. Have patience. And having been invested for 15 years you're obviously not short of that! |
Apart from the Dividends, I could probably get a better return and more security from an instant access saver account at the moment. |
I am getting a bit confused with all the disagreement, regarding entering the Ftse 250. Everyone seems to have a different interpretation. Our share price is still very little changed from 15 years ago. Firstly - what changes when we enter the 250, ie commitment from investment funds?. What are the guidlines/rules?. I must admit, having held shares from the beginning and being fully invested for over 18 years, I am starting to wonder if I can get a better return elsewhere. I am getting frustrated with this investment and don't want to bail out when everything is coming together. The company has not really delivered on anything for the past year. Are we on the cusp of a big change?, or is it more of the same? I would appreciate thoughts! |
Up 5% then down 2.5%...only a matter of time before $5...?
Meanwhile, Tracker Fund and Instutional buying up to and beyond promotion next tuesday |
This stock is so depressing $FCX is up 6% i pre-market |
Thats dated 7 February...
Try this to see where ATYM at £526 million at COB last night fits in...238...
