Copper on a good run, is this the next leg up from USD 3.25-3.50/lb...?

We saw 3.00 in mid August 2017 so have had 9 months on it so far and now the profits are running at EUR9M/quarter.. :o)..

Almost a month now since the court hearing..!

#robmcelf2, it's going to be interesting to see which news comes 1st, the ruling or the update, I'm expecting the ruling to be used as leverage to bring Astor to the table, get a deal thrashed out for paying them off, possibly in shares/cash, get their royalty/up tick payments/marketing fees gone and clear the decks for us to move forward with, and then release the resource upgrade.., conversely, an upgrade 1st would maybe incentivise Astor to want shares and a slice of an expanding pie..?

We are building cash now at EUR9M/quarter and are in a much stronger position to cut a deal, stalling payments has worked well for us..!

My bet is shares will be worth more to Astor than cash tho' as Copper goes from USD3 to USD/4lb, will they end up another cornerstone II...? we've had a year of USD3-3.25 Copper now and it's due for the next leg up as supply/demand drives prices and the deficit starts to bite from what is pretty much neutral today..

If I understand your post, and I'm not sure I do, the company had a an agreement with 'advisers' that they could buy 262,569 shares at £1.24 (warrants done at the time of the raising). That money (£374k) goes to the company. The advisers can then do what they wish with the shares, hold/sell whichever.

We've now been around the 240p mark for almost a month. I'm presuming this is connected to the court case and awaiting the outcome. Hopefully we will get a judgement in the next couple of weeks. We're also expecting the Riotinto resource upgrade this month so June could be a good period for us...

I’m a bit confused here and only see it one way. Atalaya - or to me as a long term ‘down size averaging’ EMED investor - how is that a £374K exercise becomes proceeds to Atalaya versus the very opposite. If the opposite is the case then why not position a more positive PR/Announcent, justified on proven fundamentals, fiscal responsibility, great operational efficiency, economies of scale and great mining vision - all in a non-volatile, predictsbie, civilised area. Can somebody explain how taking out a tiny 374k becomes proceeds to us Don’t get me wrong I have always appreciated and admired Alberto’s fiscal conservatism (ex EMED CFO) and his operational pedigree, but proceeds versus paying out. Excuse my ignorance if I have it wrong but it appears to me, certainly in this instance that the tail is wagging the dog and whatever PR company is contracted, they seem to be put back in their shoebox from the powers that be. Now whether that be Alberto downplaying our great progress or one of our cornerstone investors is pulling the strings, I certainly don’t know. But surely - on merit - it’s time to start playing it up a bit. I for one am a great believer....for my sins :)

Greetings from Ibiza where yours truly has been clubbing till 4 every morning. About as likely as ATYM declaring a dividend any time soon!Talking of which it is nearly time for Rouge to despatch the top of the range bottle of vino Tinto as the agm is nearly upon us. Interesting that it's in London rather than at the mine - probably to avoid a coach load of rowdy Brit investors turning up and trashing the place. More likely a sign of our growing seriousness as a company given that London is still the commercial centre of Europe despite the best efforts of the BBC and the rest of the British Establishment. Anyone going?

"This long-term demand boost from renewables and EVs is good for a whole host of companies, including majors like Anglo American and Rio Tinto, but there is one clear winner in the target share price upgrade: AIM-lister Atalaya Mining, which brings in almost 100% of its revenue from the red metal.

The Spain-focused miner's target price got a 25% boost from BMO adjusting its numbers, to £3.00 (US$4) per share"

Probably not far off although would have thought they would rather the shares run up after the judgement but before the negotiation than down.

Hi Fred
We owe you £50 mill. We can legally stretch payment of this out over 15/20yrs. Or we can pay you by letting the shares run down to say 2.25 and give you 12 mill shares. This will cover £27 mill. We have by the way a 51% reserve upgrade to be published after we have sorted our transaction, the other shareholders are okay with this. We will then pay you £5mill a year for 6 years giving you a £7 mill interest, and the marketing charge agreement stops forthwith.
Thanks
Corporal Pike.

Characters, monies and agreements are obviously purely fictional.

For infoThe number of electric and plug-in hybrid cars on the world's roads exceeded 3 million in 2017, a 54% increase compared with 2016, according to the latest edition of the International Energy Agency's Global Electric Vehicles Outlook.Looking forward, supportive policies and cost reductions are likely to lead to continued significant growth in the EV market. In the IEA's New Policies Scenario, which takes into account current and planned policies, the number of electric cars is projected to reach 125 million units by 2030. Should policy ambitions rise even further to meet climate goals and other sustainability targets, as in the EV30@30 Scenario, the number of electric cars on the road could be as high as 220 million in 2030.
