09/5/2018 12:49 | Who is in court on Astor side and ATYM? Many thanks | mronions
09/5/2018 12:48 | I hope they argue that Astor tried to make Emed take every debt offering whether it was feasible or not ie Astor just wanted paying back no cared longevity of business. | mronions
09/5/2018 12:45 | Not much to report so far. Astor arguing again that raising funds via equity rather than senior debt is essentially the same hence money due. Fairly easy to argue against that in that Astor and lawyers knew that but for own reasons or oversight not included. More later if I stay for the afternoon session. So far so good. | waterloo01
09/5/2018 12:43 | Anybody there at court? Was hoping one of my dogs turn up? | mronions
09/5/2018 11:42 | Waterloo - wake up! | husbod
09/5/2018 09:42 | Ahhh yer can't get out of it that easily rouge. Yer not the Donald, talking of which my oilers are doing nicely this morning. Just a pity Iran is not a major copper producer. | husbod
09/5/2018 09:16 | Right Husbod...that's your bottle of Rioja forfeit... | rougepierre
09/5/2018 08:15 | Two lady judges of appeal so to speak. What is the world coming to! Would prefer 3 hard nosed men. | husbod

09/5/2018 07:06 | Judgement day..., an interesting day ahead.. COURT 72 Before LADY JUSTICE GLOSTER Vice President of the Court of Appeal, Civil Division LADY JUSTICE MACUR and LORD JUSTICE SIMON Wednesday, 9th May, 2018 at 10 o'clock APPEALS - FINAL DECISIONS | laurence llewelyn binliner
08/5/2018 17:46 | 247 was sells until some time this afternoon | shortarm
08/5/2018 17:34 | Plenty of buys at 247p... around 3/4M of them.. :o) Can't blame anyone for going 'risk off' and selling a few tho' ahead of a court case, a calculated risk, but I can't see the new verdict being any worse than what's in place now, rev2 should be better but it is an unknown..! | laurence llewelyn binliner
08/5/2018 17:02 | Nervousness ahead of the court case? Are you still hoping to get there waterloo? | husbod
08/5/2018 15:02 | Big numbers traded now! 425k | shortarm
08/5/2018 14:29 | It is after this that some contract makers get sued I imagine...Oh and a deal with us.... for less.... | shortarm
08/5/2018 14:13 | Court 72 tomorrow. I doubt they would over turn the current judgement, so at worst leaves us where we are with the liability on the books and limits to distributions, at best the debt gets written off. It's after this than any negotiations will take place IMO | waterloo01
08/5/2018 13:18 | Copper might be a bit softer than we would like, but the USD/EUR is making up for it nicely.. :o) The share price is unlikely to move much until the appeal judgement decision, will there be a better buying opportunity..?, probably not..! | laurence llewelyn binliner
08/5/2018 12:29 | All these sells at 247 are likely going into VERY strong hands....All good :-) | shortarm
08/5/2018 12:13 | Court date tomorrow (not sure which court as yet). Most likely outcome is confirmation that we owe the money but timetable to pay still in our hands. IMO | waterloo01
08/5/2018 11:36 | Helpful article...copper at $8,000 gold at $1450...Goldman Sachs... Also, more and more 'experts' on Bloomberg are bullish about commodities... hxxp://www.mining-jo | rougepierre
08/5/2018 10:23 | For those interested in diversification or reinvestment, CRA (a copper miner) is now at the stage ATYM was in May 2016 and will break even by mid year with an annual target of 12,000 tonnes At that stage, ATYM shares were c100p... "As the maiden ore reserve is not yet available, providing specific guidance on timing is not currently possible, however, the Accelerated Development Plan, along with the maiden JORC (2012) resource, provides confidence that Mowana should be able to move through breakeven mid-year as build up to full name plate capacity takes place." CRA was formerly known as Alecto Minerals (ALO) DYOR and GLA | rougepierre
08/5/2018 09:03 | I have several US or Canadian shares bought with no difficulty through III and settled in sterling pawsche... | rougepierre

08/5/2018 09:01 | Richie...in a nutshell VILX, like VIX, is a measure of fear in the US markets...fear of getting caught or fear of missing out... To my mind, charts are irrelevant in this respect. For much of the time since Trump got elected the S&P/Dow simply went up and up. People just kept buying...then there was a correction and VIX jolted back into life, burning all the massive shorts... Now there is a growing debate about the future direction of markets and therefore volatility is likely to steadily increase. In the meantime, my strategy is to observe a trading range and buy near the bottom and sell near the top...for now I'm stuck...but any geopolitical or economic shock like the threat of a trade war can jolt VIX/VILX into action... One final thought...much of the volatility of the volatility happens in the second half of the US trading day...while VILX is closed...which can be a bummer... Good luck and keep us posted. Oh and jolly well done Waterloo... | rougepierre |
