26/6/2018 17:25 | Goodness what lengths will the environmental lobby go. So many half or non facts. Get it from the horses mouth tomorrow not a biased letter similar in tone to some of the similar 'reports' out of Anti Touro group which are based on fear and loathing, not fact. | waterloo01

23/6/2018 17:05 | Agm on Wednesday 27 June - wonder if there will be any interesting updates that day? Meantime given the company's aversion to publishing RNS on Fridays I guess that gives us up to 4 working days to wait until publication of the riotinto reserves update since the end of next week marks the end of Q2....Tick tock. As for the court case outcome - deliberation on the appeal outcome has already taken a lot longer than delivering the original verdict (which was delivered about a month after the original hearing concluded).I wonder if there are any notional deadlines on getting to judgement on these sorts of cases? I'm guessing ATYM may pass comment on it at the AGM - someone bound to ask.. | robmcelf2

19/6/2018 07:38 | WTF is going on with the copper price? | shortarm
17/6/2018 19:34 | #robmcelf2, LOM was 16.5 years reduced to 12 years at the increased 15.0 MTPA run rate, the next resource upgrade will clearly add to this, the unknown is by how much, then be revised up again and again as the company explores and drills the whole footprint with the land we acquired from the deals with Rumbo/Inland trading and Zeitung.. We will be back up to maybe 16.5 years LOM, and then a probable 20/25 year LOM when it's all drilled.., onward and upward we go... :o) #waterloo01, we will have to pay Astor their dues for sure, we won't get away with the EUR53M plus the uptick payments, but as we've speculated, a favourable ruling would be the catalyst we need to bring them to the negotiating table and get them and their marketing fees gone for shares/cash or a split deal, I'm expecting some equity and will add again when it happens.. Interesting times as the resource upgrade and appeal ruling loom, with negotiations imminent, 3.50/3.75/4.00 Copper on the horizon and we are minting it with 90,000 Tonnes (200M/lbs per year) with Touro.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
17/6/2018 18:57 | I'm expecting some decent numbers here in terms of some of the grades and particularly LOM at 15mt to get it back to the mid teens. In an ideal world I suspect they would like to time announcements to coincide with the Astor outcome, as while that sits there we are unclear about if/when the liability will fall and that might 'depress' the share price response, in the short term. IN terms of Astor, if the liability stands (most likely) and if it's been triggered. If they say it has, it's a question of over what period they have to pay up. In the worst case it could be backdated to early last year and we might need to find the best part of $50m to clear the debt. At this point that will be fairly easy either via equity or bank debt (of which we currently have zero), especially if the upgrade is also released around the same period? | waterloo01
17/6/2018 17:26 | Also we are expecting a reserves and resources upgrade within the next 9 working days (assuming they don't publish it on the last Friday of June) after Atalaya stating publicly at least twice that they would publish this by end of Q2. Last time we had an upgrade was July 2016 and the uplift was 12% (606,000 tonnes of contained cu to 681,000 tonnes)A similar upgrade would take us to 763,000 tonnes, but how does that extra copper get factored into the valuation? I suppose it depends on the price of copper and how expensive it is to mine the additional copper. I guess in raw numbers say another 80,000 tonnes of copper is about 2 years worth of current production levels. If we could make $1 per lb of copper profit after all costs (conservative given the way copper prices are going) then that would be an additional $180m of profit. If copper was over $4 per lb then we might be making more like $2 per lb or $360m of profit.. However, last time we announced an uplift in reserves the share price fell - go figure!!! Thoughts? | robmcelf2
17/6/2018 09:45 | Indeed Onions..., a 3 year vacuum of no new mines coming on stream for 19/20/21 isn't going to hurt the Copper price is it with demand going up.., now do an overlay of the share price with the Copper price for the last month and see just how closely we are tracking it while we wait for the appeal ruling.. USD2/lb Copper to USD3/lb took the share price from 125p to 250p, with a sub USD1 AISC margin so it is reasonable to assume 3 to 4 dollar Copper could take the share price from 250 to 500+p in 18/19..? +10% on Copper from here gives us somewhere near 50% on profits .. +20% on Copper from here gives us near +100% on profits.. [edit] then scale that up 40% and add in Touro as well.. :o) Not a mutli-bagger some might be looking for, but a safe bet in a safe legal governed jurisdiction, no cyclones, earthquakes, or jungle to fight your way through, and next to the sea... | laurence llewelyn binliner
