26/4/2018 09:05 | Agreed. Meanwhile...oof!! No longer regretting selling my WTI... terminal basket case... | rougepierre
26/4/2018 08:50 | OT I'm far from the best trader so have have kept a decent position open as a hedge on my long positions generally. I still think the US markets have a correction ahead especially as rates rise over 3%. Trade wars still a worry as is Iran/rising oil price (not based on fundamentals but geo politics) which will lead to higher prices and a negative effect on oil users. | waterloo01
26/4/2018 08:37 | You still making money in VILX Waterloo? | rougepierre
26/4/2018 08:28 | Agree and hence why ATYM is my largest investment in the sector. | waterloo01
26/4/2018 08:27 | #waterloo01, interesting, CAML have a USD60M EBITDA, very low C1 but their AISC isn't so transparent, a 300p SP, GBP 500MCAP but a 125M debt pile at 5% over libor.. On those metrics, ATYM look a very robust company / still way undervalued.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
26/4/2018 08:22 | OT, I have a smallish stake in CAML. Key is their cash costs which are one of the lowest around. | waterloo01
26/4/2018 08:20 | OT, but dividend paying mining stocks with some LOM and strong dividend cover are few and far between, CEY looks good for a divi but their grades are reducing too, GLEN are up to their plums in debt, in fact, once Astor is dealt with and we are free to pay a dividend, it will be hard to find a better place for your money than ATYM, with a 12-15 minimum LOM to look forward too..! | laurence llewelyn binliner
26/4/2018 07:52 | Hi LLB, CAML are on my shortlist. They have a bit of debt, it's true. Not too much though. One reason I've not yet pulled the trigger - the grades at their new zinc mine have been reducing year on year. May just be temporary, may be a real concern. Their copper project looks good but doesn't justify the market cap | cflather2000
26/4/2018 06:49 | #Onions, that point is arguable, if we had tried to raise at 250p, and our II's didn't like the price they might have bought even less shares, and I'm pretty sure if a rights issue came to us too, I wouldn't have taken up my allocation either when the VWAP was 158p.. OT anyone into CAML..? I like their 5.5% yield, with 30-50% FCF returned to investors, and *2+ dividend cover, but their recent acquisition has left them with a USD400M hole to fill with equity/debt at 5% over LIBOR, for their 14,000 Tonnes of Copper + Lead/Zinc.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
25/4/2018 21:04 | Laurence , from a company perspective would have been better to have done issue here at 250p. Positive news out, progress on touro. We did not need to do it back then when share price depressed and pre Astor hearing. It makes no sense other than to line pockets of Trafigura. At 250p solution much fairer for shareholders. I am pleased the capital raising failed as means can raise more funds at a correct price. | mronions
25/4/2018 14:34 | #Onions, you could argue that we got EUR40M worth of shares away at 160p, and they were bargains at that, I added at 158 too..., that was around the VWAP at the time, the placing wasn't fully subscribed was it, if we had tried at 200p it could have left a much bigger finance hole to plug, and might also have triggered senior debt too, which could have opened a bigger can of worms, I'm certainly happy I got my shares at that price, those ones have made me c100p each ..! | laurence llewelyn binliner
25/4/2018 13:32 | CRA could be where ATYM was a couple of years ago, pre-production...1.1 Meanwhile copper at a 2 month high... | rougepierre
25/4/2018 13:18 | FFS Onions, did you get out of bed the wrong side this morning? Just be happy for once | wanderer1210_0
25/4/2018 12:35 | Oh how I wish premium subscribers weren’t beyond the reach of my red pen ! | erric
25/4/2018 11:50 | Hey, you already voted me down - I don't need a lecture too :-)Chill onions.... | shortarm
25/4/2018 11:33 | Sorry for using "lesson" / word used. Unnecessary. However, just saying we should be more precise. When dealing shares it is so important to get the language right. That is why all voice broking is recorded. Semantics does not come into it. There is a protocol with language. Great, Shortam says he understood. But if he (or someone else) was having a bad day and markets poor (and had just logged in) he or anyone else may have panicked he may have acted on seeing thread "was offered 30 000 at 2.5" as meaning there was a seller in the market. I am correct on this (Shortam is wrong). Also saying you was offered 30 000 at 2.5 is not correct, mis information. Not your fault as you explained, and we understood what you meant. However, you are not allowed to give false information as it could impact price. For instance I only reported on the bids I saw, if I reported something else (I would be deemed potentially manipulating). That is why when we give our opinions important to say IMO et. | mronions
25/4/2018 11:12 | I knew exactly what you meant - it was pretty clear.Lesson not required... | shortarm
25/4/2018 10:59 | Semantics Mr.O. I think you know what I meant. But I should have been more precise with my language. | saintb
25/4/2018 10:41 | I think last placement was done at wrong price and I have now been proven correct. I was very angry when they raised the £30m at 160ish p ? My point then was why dilute us when all this good news coming. A company should look to sell shares (if going that route) at correct value not hand out freebies to close shareholders (which is essentially what they did). They suppressed positive information to the benefit of Trafigura. | mronions
25/4/2018 10:38 | correct use of bid / offer you hit the bid if you are a seller (sell bid side of spread). you can be bid by the buyer for stock , i.e. I was bid x for y number of shares you can also say I bid x for y number shares (you are a buyer) I offered y number shares of stock at x price I got an offer for (someone showed you stock a x price) you can sell on the offer : I offered stock at x price You can pay the offer for stock (if you are buying): I payed the offer for y number shares | mronions
25/4/2018 10:33 | @Saint you mean your broker bid you 2.5 for 30 000 . or more simply you saw a bid of 2.5 for 30k (if offered you stock, means exactly that offered stock for you to buy) | mronions
25/4/2018 10:24 | My broker also offered £2.50 for 30,000. Good to know there is support at current levels. | saintb
25/4/2018 10:08 | Good to know Mr O | superbobtaylor |
