thought it might kick on today although sterling a bit stronger . But pound is now set on a downtrending path I think with at best a poor trade deal agreed by Johnson .

yes and now chart shows a NOR situation. Also, sterling is now falling and likely to
keep doing so even if gradually as even if Johnson agrees a deal it will not be that
much better than a NO DEAL . We have the best deal at present as a leading member of the EU with much influence . AZN seems to perform better than GSK which also has a nice chart !

yes, chartwise it looks good now and falling pound helping as the disaster of brexit
becomes apparent and a likely NO DEAL outcome in late 2020 unless Johnson caves it
to the EU terms which will be tough as rightly they looks after interests of members of the club .

It's not Boris it's Trump, election year easy pharmas easy target, pound strong, not good for the dollar earners.Thought be a brief bounce in Astra on Tory win, but not to be.

I suppose the uncertainty removed for a year overrides the negativity of stronger sterling but that might wear off soon. sterling might hold up in 2020 but will be hammered if we leave with NO DEAL as some in the nasty party prefer . Not Johnson as he knows a weak economy after crash out is bad news for Tory re-election prospects . Interesting times ahead ! Pound has come off quite a bit since it hit 1.35.

Montyhedge,

You say a bounce if Boris wins to 7415, then you state dollar earners lower profits and divvy of which is right, so why state it was going to 7415 when you should know full well if Boris won then Sterling would rally? you just don't make sense.

Maybe, but I'll buy more then, as this stock is solid, they have loads of cash coming in, and there is strong institutional buying at this level.

Pharma's not the sector to be in, dollar earners, lower profits and dividends on currency conversion. Trump will try and get drug prices down in an election year, vote winner. I see 6885p.
