The Valkyrie is priced at $3,500,000 and the special limited editions are only available with a DBX purchase thrown in, priced at $6,000,000. The valkyrie costs about $1.5m to make, thats over 60% gross. The design work is capitalised and written off by the Company or impaired based on it's useful life, cost already sunk. None of these sales are reflected in the margins from the historical accounts. Infact the historical accounts are just that. The future trading will have a different cost base and also a different direct cost attributable to each model, the tie up with Mercedes cover that. So I ask "why do people perpetually post negative dribble". I can only think they have a different agenda, as they are not being paid to do this -or are they??

How many vehicles do they need to sell to make a profit Clocktower?

Regardless of the facts, AM need a lot more customers and those customers are more likely than not imo looking to buy a bit of nostalgia, as the likelihood of selling sufficient vehicles to make a profit, is as likely as GB re-joining the EC in the next 10 years. They might have more luck selling their car emblems or branded clothes than trying to compete in the super car class but then we all know it is more of a vanity project than anything else.

We all know why you are fixated on the 28 months, because you have no valid argument on the contents. It makes no difference when the article was published and everyone knows it. Negative? Try honest. When someone calls out your nonsensical lies on a public BB, try not to run away like an entitled kid. You managed to 'waste some time' posting lies, but can't waste any more time discussing facts: Priceless.

I stand corrected on the 50 months,it was 28 months ago that article. I will come back to you over the 60% gross margin on certain vehicles when I have some time to waste. You didn't say anything at the time, just now as your negativity screams out daily, to what end I don't know. Off out for the day. Bye

Show me a link to ANY car in AML range which has a 60% margin. £2bn company making losses of £200m minimum per year, with £1.3bn of debt. The company itself stated EBITDA margin of mid teens for 2021, that's looking more like low teens, and that's EBITDA, ie BEFORE interest (£145m), depreciation and amortization (£240-250m). All figures taken for H1 results 2021. When you double down on your opinion without any facts to back it up you just make yourself look even more ridiculous. Prove your 60% margin or stand corrected yourself.

I stated that certain models had a 60% margin, not all models. You stand corrected. Using articles from the previous regime is ingenuin and over 50 months ago

The article was proof that St Athan is producing at less than 40% output capability, as requested by Bashor. Instead of trying to discredit people who post facts and links to back them up, maybe you should spend the time doing more homework on the shares you own. You stated a 60% margin in your recent posts, Treble in 99. Equally laughable.

Ignore these articles from June 2019, even have the now extinct ex CEO quoted. These guys have an axe to grind or are just trying to influence people via a bulliten board to help their shorts.

Cool, you top up again then. The 4th of November will be the company telling you what *they* want you to hear. Just about the same time as the BOE start raising interest rates as the gilt market is pricing in near 7% inflation next year. Such as "our cash position has improved" in the Q2 results when they had actually just raised another £77m in bond debt. Hilarious.

Dead in the water until they make an Eco friendly version that goes like the clappers, or they sell a few Super Cars at top dollar - but even those are numbered unless they come with an Eco friendly power unit imo.

So I can't be accused of making it up: St Athan was designed to make 7000 cars per year, they are currently selling circa 2200-2500 DBXs. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-7129455/Aston-Martins-new-St-Athan-factory-Wales-built-car.html

Bashor, The factory making DBX's is running at 40% output, they have sacked a 1/3 of the work force there. What do you mean by "selling as many as they can make"?
swiss tony
18/10/2021
13:03
Why? Do you think the results for the first 9 months are going to be good? The £77m cash they raised in February is gone by now, only a matter of time before they raise more. There is only so long AML can load US dealers with DBX's, the true sales rate can't be hidden much longer, lucky if it's 2500 per year, target was 3000 and even that was down from the original 6000. Moers is STILL commuting from Germany every week, I reckon he'll be gone soon. And the court case is hanging over them. Either they spend loads of money they don't have on defending it, and/or they lose it and kiss goodbye to profitability any time soon as they will have to pay royalties on every Valkyrie/Valhalla/Vanquish sold.
