Sold some today on fears shops will be forced shut again, hopefully wrong on that.

My daughter reports back that following her visit yesterday the new massive Primark store at the Trafford Centre is excellent. She also likes the fact that it's out of town so she doesn't have to travel into the city centre.

She was surprised how busy it was for a Monday even with social distancing.

On a longer term view the current price looks attractive.

Primark should outperform in a challenging economic environment.

Might see below £19 next week.

What may now start to happen is the scaling back of 2021 FY estimates.

spoole, it's akin to a lockdown by stealth atm, there are now around
10 million people in England living under restrictions, in addition to
the rule of 6. Shops remain open for now, but growing social restrictions
are not supportive to the short term share price

Investment here entirely depends on whether you think we're heading back into lockdown. If we aren't they're cheap.

How long before restrictions on non food shops again?.

Quite incredible what's happening, this is only mid September.

Nice day and I'm out on that. If you have patience and can ignore the
short term noise this looks a nice play for 2021. Hopefully an opportunity
to buy some on a bad day.

Morning Phil, it did at the open. Sold some at 19.68 which I've just bought back.
Potential for COVID related closures are weighing heavily atm.
Pubs will be first to close before retail imv. Hopefully it won't get to that point.

Thanks Phil, added a few @ 19.47 before the close on Friday.
Once we are through the next few months of COVID, longer term looking good
at under 17 x FY 2021.

Well they would have to reintroduce the furlough scheme which I'm sure they won't be keen on!

spoole, would hope you are right on that.

I'm a little surprised they are moving so quickly to impose
restrictions on social gatherings again.
