Pippa Stephens, a retail analyst at GlobalData, said Primark had exhibited impressive resilience during the pandemic.

But she said the group should invest more in its out-of-town sites as city centres would continue to be troubled: “Though in the UK, the government is now encouraging the public to return to work and make non-essential travel journeys again, consumers are still likely to refrain from visiting these busy areas for some time, leading to a long-term decline in footfall.”

Mark up may have been sold off on the potential threat of further lock downs/restrictions to come. Otherwise this might be £24/25 a share.

.......more than half the drop off in sales can be linked to just four of its 189 stores - those in Manchester, Birmingham, London's Oxford Street and Edinburgh.

Still taking a massive hit on primark profits which make up more than half of group. Not expected to recover to pre covid levels until 2023 at the earliest
