Wales has gone nuts.

Heard on news that supermarkets not allowed to sell non essential items as it would disadvantage high street shops.

Q, have they not heard of online shopping in Wales?

Oh, and you van still buy booze, but not a kettle!

I can see drayford becoming very unpopular if these draconian measures don't show a marked positive difference compared to England, same goes for that cranky leader in Scotland.

This year is going to wipe out a lot main stream high st clothing, primark has such a good advantage/position it's actually imo a disruptor....others will be unable to find there feet.

Completely ageee, the economic conditions that here and will be for some time are perfect for primark to thrive

Once the shops can remain open the current economy plays right in to Primark's
strengths.

£1.3 Billion in cash shows the powerful cash generation here.

A new lockdown cannot be discounted and it's naive to assume this will definitely not happen.

Somehow BofA Global Reserch say ABF may be a value trap. I disagree on a medium term basis.

Primark will do very well in a recession and the foods business is very defensive.

Added a small amount this morning. This is one of my 2021 ideas,

still think ABF may be available under £17 again, but exact timing is difficult.

Highly unlikely non food shops will close in England

I'm very much against shops being forced to close once again.

That younger, healthy people who are at minimal risk can't shop on the High Street
is bizarre.

There's a difference though to what I think and what I think may happen.

Well I'm about to experience Primark for the very first time tomorrow in Guildford.

Never been inside a store.

Once the fear of stores being closed again subsides these will be over 20 quid again

spoole, if tonight's reports are accurate Wales will close all Non essential shops
from October 23 from 2 weeks. You might need to revise your view of no shop closures.

I was in Tesco Brooklands having a flu jab on Tuesday afternoon and it was
like shopping in the middle of the night it was so empty. Usually packed.
People around here altering their shopping habits again.

My local Primark is Woking, might check out the Guildford store over the weekend
as down that way.

Welsh police will be conducting road checks apparently,
but given numbers not sure how that works.

Are there roadblocks? There weren't during proper lockdown.

Unless you want to go to Wales, travel between my area and over the Welsh border
not allowed, I'm nowhere near Wales tbf.
