23/3/2020 07:51 | And shell is one of the stronger ones. | amaretto1
23/3/2020 07:36 | I anticipate Ashtead will suspend the buyback and possibly the dividend shortly. This CV is a game changer, over 30 companies have already suspended their dividend payments. | perfido
23/3/2020 07:25 | Shell just stopped Share buy back ! | amaretto1
21/3/2020 09:36 | Well Dow as dropped another 1000 after our close ...So I'm pretty sure I'm right. Hope so for yaI'll post on here when I'm going long, it may not be the bottom .. but who knows :-) | amaretto1
20/3/2020 16:28 | FINALLY managed to trade, but not where I wanted due to Halifax dealing not coping with demand, perhaps? Sold 50% of my long term holding. Not a huge amount compared with you big boys, but safe guarding my profit with the hope of buying back in at a lower price one day. As suggested, this current madness might only be the start. Good luck all. | palwing32
20/3/2020 15:28 | Thanks ameretto, will keep trying. | palwing32
20/3/2020 15:24 | Worldwide it's approx 200 billion | amaretto1
20/3/2020 15:23 | It's probably data trafic on your lines They are busy busy Had it a few times today Not Halifax tho | amaretto1
20/3/2020 15:20 | BBerg says US airlines are asking for $50bn bailout But the have spent $45bn+ on buybacks in the last 10 years. The bailout should be NEW shares at the current (or lower) share price. That will save the investors from losing everything , save the jobs, but give the state something in return. Maybe teach investors to be more prudent in future and STOP the buybacks.. | fenners66
20/3/2020 15:20 | Can't trade on Halifax. Too busy one moment, error the next. Hmmm.... | palwing32
20/3/2020 14:40 | Dow being kept up for triple witching. | amaretto1
20/3/2020 14:15 | Bracke , good day, Bloomberg finally waking up and talking about high leverage and buybacks... Some of us voices in the wilderness were on about that for a long time..... So now despite some previously wanting to shut down the discussion it becomes front and centre. As said California shut down, surely Washington state to follow, that leaves Oregon in between - I know people there who want Oregon shut down. That should spread - when it does AHT like everyone else will need all the cash they can get their hands on | fenners66
20/3/2020 14:11 | Dow acting like it could crashQE being used to the max | amaretto1
20/3/2020 12:46 | It's foooked ... FTSE cannot hold up here ... next week will be a bloodbath imoIf i was holding here, I'd sell today With the idea of buying them back cheaper in the next few weeks | amaretto1
20/3/2020 11:49 | Good day clarky I hope you are well.....at least for the present. I refer you to my post 57880. The virus situation is far from over. On the news this morning that California is in total lock down, that's 60 million people. Each day adds to the woe. The share price has pulled itself up to £16 this morning but I would be surprised if it stayed there or even close to it. Volatility over the coming weeks will continue. I previously mentioned £12 as a previous support zone which I expect to be revisited. Perhaps if the AHT Board announced that they were ceasing the buy back operation it may help the share price | bracke
20/3/2020 11:27 | Clarky....,. This is NOT the bottom I'm certain .... it may test 3000 FTSE AHT ??? I'm convinced ... and I'm hopeing chase Manhatten bank is ok. | amaretto1
19/3/2020 18:24 | AHT has tried to break £12 on two occasions and failed (dramatically today) twice. Bracke, you have proven to be past master at this. Are we calling that (near) bottom?? | clarky5150
19/3/2020 16:54 | I'm glad I dont trade anymore. I'd have been dead by now. I used to enjoy it but dont miss it, nursing 15% fall in one pension and nearer 30% in another (thankfully a lot smaller). But would I have done better than an DFM? Maybe, but see above. And actually the 0.5% fee seems value just now saving 15% against the smaller portfolio which sits in a mix of off the shelf funds... | uppompeii
19/3/2020 16:49 | Don't forget as i said earlier Triple witching at 10.15 ish | amaretto1
19/3/2020 16:48 | Your thinking 8 ! Iam .... FTSE 4000 ... it's trading heaven at moDidn't trade this like.. the best of the lot unfortunately | amaretto1
19/3/2020 16:46 | "The FD must be a very shrewd person! LOL" ==================== There's no pulling the wool over your eyes is there optomistic. | bracke |
