Surely most of the loans will be in the local currency so there should be little effect.

GBP down to 1.565 vs the US dollar. Good for profit bad for debt translation. Where does the Movement of the increase in debt show in the financial statements?

.......and URI still down.Aunty Janet on U.S. interest rates tomorrow, general expectation from what I've read is no increase until mid or late 2015 with a +0.25% first increase to 0.5% (as is the norm this depends on unemployment rates and wage growth).GLDD

Possibly the sharply falling oil price could have been a factor for both URI and AHT. Sunbelt does supply equipment to shale oil drillers and perhaps there is
A worry some of those projects could be mothballed. Can't see that happening personally.

bracke/clarky,It did seem to follow URI down from about 2:30pm. if you graph both they have followed similar profiles with URI having a 40% rise since mid Oct, whereas AHT's rise has been about 19%, so as you say probably some profit taking in both instances.GLDD

Perhaps some profit taking today following yesterdays rise.

1050 is support and 1080 is resistance.

It would be churlish if it failed to reach 1100.

uRI getting a pasting. Down from off gave us a big gap to fill downwards. Would have been an easy fast short had I not been on a plane to Marrakech.
OT it is flooding here, never seen anything like it. So much for a spot of winter sun. Rammle day all round I guess.

Yesterday was a new closing high.

A little spike up this morning on opening but dropped back to yesterdays close.

It's trying to make the break up but will it? Provided that the DOW holds up 1100 does appear to be a good probability.
