"is 1000 a psychological point or technical"
============================================

Both. Psycho for obvious reason. Technical - Look at a daily chart. You will see 1000 has been a previous s/r zone.

I suspect it will want to test the SMA 200 at 969 if it breaks and holds below 1000.

It appears that it is likely to test 1000.

Dividend

In line with its policy of providing a progressive dividend, having regard to both underlying profit and cash generation and to sustainability through the economic cycle, the Board has increased the interim dividend 33% to 3.0p per share (2013: 2.25p per share). This will be paid on 4 February 2015 to shareholders on record on 16 January 2015.

The 'big wick' candle playing out nicely for the shorts. Daily triangle support in this region, a failure will lead to an expansion to the downside.

Thanks Bracke for your earlier post 50383, most enlightening as usual.Read an article yesterday in Motley Fool which I found mildly interesting (at the time of reading!) and may put into context the issues URI may have due to declining oil price and their fracking contracts - an extract below:-"According to Morgan Stanley, the average global break-even cost of production for Brent crude is around $50/bbl while the average cost of production for North American shale, oil sands and Arctic producers is approximately $65/bbl, $70/bbl and $75/bbl respectively. So, many of these projects are uneconomic at present".Given that as I type oil is $52/bbl that's some hit to the U.S. fracking industry and would guess many have either ceased operating altogether or are operating on a care and maintenance programme only.GLDD
