Think we need to be careful this isn't a bear trap. Trend is still lower so £55 a strong possibility.

Good evening bracke.Yep.....unfortunately that's all we can do when trying to predict the future, have tried tea leaves and glass balls but neither seem to work very well.......apart from "gaps" have you any other recommendations I could try?.Fair play to trt, must have said 55 about half a dozen times (annoyingly lol) but was near today and still may get hit....much to my surprise I will admit. But every situation develops an opportunity.

A lower low close but volume eased back. Given the drop over past days a retrace up is probable. However if continues to drop tomorrow it would be concerning. ...if it isn't already.

Looking at URI it's valuations appear to be lower than AHT. So is the AHT drop an indication that it had been 'taken' above its valuation and the drop is a correction.

Yesterday I mentioned the possibility of a lower low. Yesterday it pierced the low but closed above the low, so no lower low. Today it has dropped well below the low but let's see where it closes.

Bears are in control. There is no short interest being shown or at least not above 0.5%. So the drop appears to be simply profit taking maybe mixed with concern about events in the US.

As I type the drop from the high on 17 Sept is 10.88%.

If the Dems cannot get anything infrastructure wise passed they are going to look pointless.

Yes I thought it was an odd sort of recommendation. I suppose it could be interpreted as.......You may have an idea to buy it but we are still holding to our target of 5018. A sort of caveat emptor.

Fair comment. It's been supported at the SMA50 on several occasions and last dropped to the SMA100 at the end of October 2020.

The SMA100 is just over 5400. As for the SMA200 that is a distant memory at approx 4700.

No hesitation this morning continuous drop to fill both of the gaps mentioned in post 59397. So far so good/bad. Now comes the most interesting part, a continuing drop to form a distinct lower low (which it hasn't done for a long time)or support to stop the rot. I expect strong support at 5700 given previous price action at this zone.

If there is failure to support at 5700 where is the next support level. trt has suggested 5500 which is possible, thereafter 5300 and 5200.

There are three more gaps at 4904, 3766 and 2888. I am NOT suggesting they will all be filled but if for some reason there is a major sell off 4904 is a possibility.

AHT DAILY
