29/9/2021 10:06 | Morning brake, I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that [I know nothing]. -------------------- Socrates | riley109
29/9/2021 10:04 | Good morning DD, trt forecasts? It's called the stopped clock syndrome - eventually one of his forecasts will be right, in the case of a stopped clock, twice a day :-) I'm still looking forward to 65.00 he promised .... . | perfido
29/9/2021 08:29 | Think we need to be careful this isn't a bear trap. Trend is still lower so £55 a strong possibility. | trt
28/9/2021 18:51 | Good evening bracke.Yep.....unfortu | disc0dave45
28/9/2021 18:34 | Good day disc0 "(using earnings growth forecasts)" ==================== The operative word being 'forecasts'. | bracke
28/9/2021 18:29 | 'However if continues to drop tomorrow it would be concerning'URI and CAT are holding up so far so could be positive, who knows, I know I don't know and that's a known known, or is it a known unknown, fvck knows lol. | disc0dave45
28/9/2021 18:24 | 'Looking at URI it's valuations appear to be lower than AHT.'On a PE basis yes, but 12m forecast forward PEG's (using earnings growth forecasts) are 1.09 and 0.89 for URI and AHT respectively. | disc0dave45
28/9/2021 17:55 | A lower low close but volume eased back. Given the drop over past days a retrace up is probable. However if continues to drop tomorrow it would be concerning. ...if it isn't already. | bracke
28/9/2021 15:09 | Good day Riley You missed one out.. We know F all. | bracke
28/9/2021 14:45 | brake There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. | riley109
28/9/2021 13:34 | Looking at URI it's valuations appear to be lower than AHT. So is the AHT drop an indication that it had been 'taken' above its valuation and the drop is a correction. Yesterday I mentioned the possibility of a lower low. Yesterday it pierced the low but closed above the low, so no lower low. Today it has dropped well below the low but let's see where it closes. Bears are in control. There is no short interest being shown or at least not above 0.5%. So the drop appears to be simply profit taking maybe mixed with concern about events in the US. As I type the drop from the high on 17 Sept is 10.88%. | bracke
28/9/2021 09:35 | More likely we will now see £55 question is will it hold at that level. Time will tell. | trt
28/9/2021 09:26 | Funny that URI is up this am. | riley109
27/9/2021 21:13 | Nancy Pelosi says she would not bring a infrastructure bill before the senate without knowing she has the votes, and she "plans" to bring that bill on Thursday. If the Dems cannot get anything infrastructure wise passed they are going to look pointless. | fenners66

27/9/2021 18:44 | Yes I thought it was an odd sort of recommendation. I suppose it could be interpreted as.......You may have an idea to buy it but we are still holding to our target of 5018. A sort of caveat emptor. | bracke
27/9/2021 18:40 | Good day bracke, and thanks:'Fair comment. It's been supported at the SMA50 on several occasions'Yep, it's only gone below on 8 occasions over the past year, so if the ninth me thinks I will raid my piggy bank. | disc0dave45
27/9/2021 18:36 | Deutsche Bank names as 'buy idea', but stays at hold with 5,018.0p target price.it's a buy idea but wait until it's fallen another 15% or so then hold!......aargh, that's how to make money is it? | disc0dave45
27/9/2021 18:31 | Good day disc0 "The SMA50 looks like decent support too," ==================== Fair comment. It's been supported at the SMA50 on several occasions and last dropped to the SMA100 at the end of October 2020. The SMA100 is just over 5400. As for the SMA200 that is a distant memory at approx 4700. | bracke
27/9/2021 18:13 | High volume today. Was the drop just another bout of profit taking or something else. Could it be this: 'Ashtead: Deutsche Bank names as 'buy idea', but stays at hold with 5,018.0p target price.' Aren't they nasty! | bracke
27/9/2021 17:57 | Thanks bracke.The SMA50 looks like decent support too, also close to your 57.But wtf do I know :) | disc0dave45
27/9/2021 11:15 | No hesitation this morning continuous drop to fill both of the gaps mentioned in post 59397. So far so good/bad. Now comes the most interesting part, a continuing drop to form a distinct lower low (which it hasn't done for a long time)or support to stop the rot. I expect strong support at 5700 given previous price action at this zone. If there is failure to support at 5700 where is the next support level. trt has suggested 5500 which is possible, thereafter 5300 and 5200. There are three more gaps at 4904, 3766 and 2888. I am NOT suggesting they will all be filled but if for some reason there is a major sell off 4904 is a possibility. AHT DAILY | bracke |
