In my previous post (54966) I said :

"A previous major high (long black parallel line) may support but it may want to go to the Black ML (middle black line)."

It has dropped to the previous major high where it was supported which coincided with the LP of the rising blue PF (see previous chart).

If current support fails a drop to the 1900 zone is probable.

Cheer up fenners, a nice dip provides opportunities.

Market starting to look a like a correction.

Any company posting remotely bad news is being hammered.

The short brown 'called' but did not support.

It has dropped to the confluence of the black and blue lines directly below the short brown but I would not put money on it being supported there. A previous major high (long black parallel line) may support but it may want to go to the Black ML (middle black line).

You will be pleased to read I am out most of tomorrow so it may be a chart free day.
However for those who want one more 'fix' here is one to be going on with.

This morning I posted the the share price was in a symmetrical triangle, it isn't now, it broke to the downside but you will note that it was held at the ML.

It's too early to tell just yet but it's close to decision time. Up above the dashed pink line or down to the short brown line, this would be an initial move with the bigger one to come.

Probability favours a drop to the short brown line but I'm not putting money on it yet.

fenners

I attempted to do what you were expecting but because the percent rise for AHT and GBP:USD are so different the chart made no sense.

It's decision time. The share price has formed a Symmetrical Triangle.

Be aware of false breakouts. ie breaks out one side only to reverse and drop through the other side.

I follow your charts with great interest and have a healthy respect for your technical
abilities.
It is mumbo jumbo to me, because of my limited education but I do try.
Please keep them coming.
I much prefer the red overlay of your third chart, its been therapeutic after the shock of its predecessor.

Good day 2flat

Surely none take any notice of my charts!

Being such a loyal bunch I thought you would be 'diving in'.

Although the FTSE continues to suffer with depression the DOW pulled back some of yesterdays losses. Plus the FED have an interest rate decision later to-day.

I suspect it is only a matter of time before I put my shorts on.....summer's coming.

Here's a 'mumbo jumbo' chart for you. You can see where the share price is being resisted.

At the risk of being accused of 'too many lines' I have drawn in the red PF which would apply IF the share price continues up and fails to move back into the blue PF. You will note that the share price reached the red ML before dropping back.

If the share price falls and closes below 2058 the probability is that there would be more to come.

Very quiet on here. I thought you would all be lining up to buy after the drop.

A terrible thought!!! Surely you'r not waiting for a bigger drop!!!!

High volume yesterday but a tight range and minimal change on the day. Buyers and sellers balanced.

Twenty point gap this morning. Anyone for a fill.

EDIT

Now 30 points.

You will see in the chart below that following a retrace the share price was supported at the quartile sliding parallel ( second from top black line). It then rose above the major high achieved in mid December. So far so good.

To prove it's still got the 'oomph' it has to rise at least to the previous high (pink line).

Its funny how over the years you kinda wonder if you could have done a better job.

There have been times when I said to myself bed and ISA them and if it rises in future you will avoid CGT.

I failed to do so and ..... resorted to selling CGT allowance each year instead.

Now I think that had there been no CGT problem I would have sold too early....

So who knows?
