How do you think the share price will react when they announce the GM to arrange the ring fencing of current holder's rights to a special preference share/dividend? I have a feeling that this is already priced in and the share price will drop once the ex entitlement date is announced. Not much incentive to buy in after that date although the share price should rise once a settlement is reached. But that could be yonks away. Thoughts anyone.

There is more to it than just the environmental impact assessment, look how the minister acted, how Arso released information publically before informing AST, how the previous incumbents of the field were allowed to re-stimulate, look how the EXPERTS appointed by Slovenia said there were no issues if they re-stimulated but were ignored.
It is and always has been a 100% no-lose case, the limiting factor is when Slovenia decides to settle, the longer they leave it the more it will cost them. IMHO.
The fact the processing plant permit was granted (after 18 months)and on the same day the minister said (on Social Media) we won't let them re-stimulate so no use having the plant permit.
The then-minister also said on social media he had friends in ARSO so ast will never be allowed to stimulate the wells.

Now we have a lot more in the mix it could cost Slovenia a hell of a lot more than 650 million Euros.

CI - I also think that is Slovenias main argument. Even if court rule it is required. Its doesn't prove Slovenia is totally innocent. It had to make a ruling within 3 months but took a full year. Clearly resulting in AST losing money and also external influence on license will also come to light.

Geoenergo is 80% owned by the government so no wriggling out of this one .hopefully they no realise it's time to settle the large claim if they want a discount on the 600 million claim.

Quite the result for AST! Take it this will effect positively the amount they're due for their share going forwards too?

Really do think the crooks in the Slovenian Gov should take note and settle too. AST seem well able to win in the court house.

CI - it's a bit of a conundrum but those holding if the win comes through will be able to cash in their special bonus without unduly affecting the share price when it happens.

However I wonder if there will be a flurry of T20 trades in January in the hope of becoming eligible for this special bonus? I have in the past had a few occasions where I've luckily bought on a T20 trade before a dividend was announced and sold just before it went ex dividend.
