The field commenced producing in 1996, peaked at 68,000 bopd in 2003. In 2008 with production still on a steeply declining trend at 22,000 bopd, AICD vales were implemented. Excellent posts yesterday evening and today. August is always a slow month as many big hitters are away as are the investment managers who make decisions.

However I expect to see a respectable share price increase probably later this month when the next RNS arrives.

Rocky, I seem to recall we were hovering around 21 or 22p before the first CN horizontal success. So it seems we have gone up about 10p to me for two horizontal wells, or 5p per horizontal well.But, CNB-HZ4 is supposed to be the longest, most valuable well to date, using the latest completions technology (AICD) which none of the preceding wells had. I'm hoping for another 5p minimum on good success at CNB-HZ4, and hopefully more if OPEC decide to extend their production cut (which is due to expire) into 2025. However, I believe the major benefits of the AICD technology will be felt later on with much improved decline rates and lower water production both expected by myself. AIMHO /DYOR

Admittedly the POO is $10 per barrel off where its been for a few months but with no debt and financially attractive terms in Columbia it looks as the our share price rises directly proportionately to production growth (and falls with reduced production as we saw with Canada gas being locked in and 2 wells in Columbia being converted to water disposal wells).However if you look at the chart from just prior to HZ1 being announced to today, we have risen about 6p and although we see a few daily ups and downs it does look as though each HZ well is raising the share price by about 3p. So should HZ4 come on at around 3,000boepd gross (1,500boepd net to AXL), I expect to us to land around 35p after this initial ups and downs settle down and to then press on towards 40p in Sept when HZ5 is announced.

Word for word copied from a little email exchange I had with the company today:-The AGM is very standard this year. Nothing unusual.Marshall will give a presentation at the AGM and we will be able to outline management's intentions for the remained of 2024 and 2025 including the possibility on a second rig.We still expect a CNB HZ-4 press release this month with a description of the AICD performance.

Quite a healthy turnover today which is a good sign for the future.

I do believe we are on our way to a higher share price The coming several days should be very interesting!

Buys were going through just before and just after that trade so i think it would have been a sell - but as you infer whoever it was was lucky to get it away and 31.5p. A large buy at that time would have been in excess of 32p - all IMHO of course.

RR, that trade could have been an early buy as my money from the back of the sofa bought at 31.225. A large sale would have been lower.

Don’t forget that larger than normal size trades are usually delayed to put the opposition off the scent.

In any event a high turnover with an increasing share price is an excellent sign for the future

RR had mentioned AXL over on the i3e board some days ago. Now that a bid has appeared for that co. and a fair amount of stock has sold off, perhaps some has found its way here?

If the buying continues 32 will fall today. Every trade has been a buy including mine which was the first of the day.

AXL is worth a lot more based on current fundamentals alone. Successful drilling at future wells will push us closer to 50p.

Fight for 32.....32 looks like the Pivot Point......not 30.

And we are having an other go at it.......will it get over 32 on its own....or will it need an RNS......ether way its going higher.

MMs will take large sells at 31.275p. I can see this nudging up a bit further as we approach the BH W/E who knows we could close the week at a new 52 week high.

32.72p in Canada even as oil prices drop 3% as a result (from what i read)of continued talks of a cease fire in the Middle East, i think we have been there before

F1 - it was verbatim and I dont think it was the polished rig the company were referring to. Of course we will not know until the RNS and the company can not give out share price affecting information on emails, however, I think its as close as we can expect to get to say HZ4 has been showing good signs to be a good producer and personally I am hoping for at least 10% on top of the first 2 horizontals. I may even grab a few more towards the end of the week but am a bit heavy in here with a 7 digit holding now. Only Savannah Energy surpasses my holding here and by a good stretch at that.

pastybap, I too was intrigued by that comment unless Rocky had paraphrased it(?). They could easily have said progressing well. So if the comment is verbatim then as RR said - 'gold dust'!
