16/8/2024 13:17 | 350,000 transaction volume today is background noise. With the horizontal wells now generating 3-4 times the production and cash flow of a vertical well with a very similar drilling cost - incredibly, the share-price has since increased by just 8p(£22.9m of market cap) following the announcement of the first 'proof of concept' horizontal well exceeding expectations by a country mile. IMO Arrow's equity is currently offering a market dislocation opportunity - ie; the market is yet to price the assets correctly, considering the huge step change increase in production and cash flow now being generated by the horizontal wells. 16/8/2024 11:27 | Maybe once a few sellers appear it causes others to panic.Having said that, with news flow in the next couple of weeks it does seem odd at the stage to sell | tom111
16/8/2024 10:44 | A few people seem quite content locking profits in at just over 30p. Cant blame them to be fair as profits are only profits when crystallised. 30p is not for me though given the very high probability of production growing for the remainder of 2024. Am VERY keen to see what the 2025 capital budget will be and how many news wells will be drilled. I've pencilled in 60p to lock my first profit in as that would be a circa 3 bagger from my current average. | rockyride

14/8/2024 19:24 | This series of videos explains at an elementary level the physics of a reservoir where horizontal wells are deployed. They explain how the permeability of the reservoir and the viscosity of the oil preferentially favour the entry of gas, water and oil in that order into the well bore. | jacks13
14/8/2024 17:49 | ICDs are well proven for use in horizontal wells to both increase oil recovery (hence oil production rates) and also reduce water cut compared to conventional completion technoogy, as the below paper from the Society of Petroleum Engineers elaborates. I still feel we can expect a step change in performance from the future wells fitted with ICDs compared to conventional slotted liner designs. ---- ...ICD, as a sort of completion tools, have been used in many oilfields, in many countries. From these papers, we can understand that the effect of ICD is very good, which can prevent successfully water breakthrough and improve the oil production... ...the use of ICD can result in increased NPV and increased ultimate recovery... ...ICD are used successfully in the UK sector of the North Sea, which can prevent early water and gas breakthrough, and increase oil recovery... ...the use of ICD can increase recovery and keep oil rates at higher levels compared to conventional methods. In Cudahy’s paper... ...ICD are very effective in improving sustainable well productivity compared to past horizontal completion methods. .. ... ICD’s show good performance with increased oil production and lower water production in all wells in Ecuador... | the_gold_mine
14/8/2024 14:53 | RR not actually sure that is correct, this from weatherford. "The AICD system is distributed along the well in a similar way to conventional passive ICDs; however, it acts as an active flow-resistance element. The system autonomously affects flow by imposing a relatively strong choke for lowviscosity fluids and only minor choking for viscous oil. The system not only delays gas or water breakthrough, but also reduces the proportion of the breakthrough. Unlike passive inflow control technology, the system improves well performance and increases production after a breakthrough. It can interface with a range of Weatherford well screens" If however the company says this then that's Ok with me. | royalalbert
14/8/2024 14:37 | Many thanks RR, that's really helpful. | pldazzle
14/8/2024 14:36 | Exact wording from my questions and company reply:-Please forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between AICD's & ICD's? Which are Arrow using on HZ4 & 5?They are the same thing. Different manufacturers have different acronyms. | rockyride
14/8/2024 14:16 | Thanks RR - in fact it wasn't only you! | pldazzle
14/8/2024 13:57 | An apology from me. My 8949 post were words I put together in order to summarise quite a lengthy exchange of emails I had with the company. I did not realise there was a difference between AICD and ICD technology. I only wrote AICD as I'd seen that posted on here. Having checked back on my emails the company definitely said ICD and not AICD. I've sent in a quick note to try and get a bit more clarification around this subject. I don't always get replies but I will let you know if I do.Sorry again if I was inadvertently misleading with my paraphrasing. | rockyride

14/8/2024 12:04 | Several posters on this board, most of them much more knowledgeable than me, appear to have assumed that AXL will be installing AICD on the new horizontal wells. I can't see that the company has actually said that, only that they "may" eventually install ICD - which I take to be a less sophisticated version. See EHL's post #7312 (25 Feb 2024). Will be delighted to be proved wrong! | pldazzle

14/8/2024 10:59 | Equal to all time high with that spike 2 weeks ago. Momentum going off the chart....over 10. RSI a tad high at 65. Sp = Sentiment and momentum......both are sky high here. Now got a 9 week up-trend. Today = 38 trades....only 1 is a "sell". Basically.....its looking good. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | 11_percent

14/8/2024 08:17 | Looks primed to break out again. 35p plus on a decent well result plus quarterlies. 40p on next horizontal, London visit, extended drilling plans. 10000 bopd exit rate looks a very solid bet for Dec 2026/ average Q4 2026......maybe sooner but that depends on further exploration success (odds on), more horizontal drilling and decline rates. The chart from IPO is rock solid and represents everything they have achieved. Drive the share price to 70p and sell for a £1 plus please. | here and there
