Usually the price will rise way before the news is announced and depending on news if good finish flat or slight plus if bad down 50% or so. That's Aim lol

Disappointing rise by at least I managed to get back the 300k I sold with minimal hit compared to sale price. Still comfortable I did it though as I was bit nervous about this result which de-risks the next 3 for me. Back up to my full load again.

CNB-HZ-1 - is currently producing at a restricted net 4.63 times the modelled performance of adjacent vertical wells on the field(and 6.3 times their average net current production) while costing just a net $1m more to drill!

"The initial success of the first horizontal well at the CNB pad, which is currently exceeding expectations, is an important milestone in the development of the hydrocarbon-dense Ubaque formation. The horizontal technology proven by this well can now be used to exploit further prospects on the Tapir block, and potentially the Oso Pardo block."

Interesting to note in light of the result of the CNB-HQ-1 well the management have amended their view as to the potential for deploying horizontal well drilling technology in the similarly thick reservoir of the Oso Pardo field. When I this asked this question 8 months ago, the answer which came back was that it was unlikely ....... the drilling and initial production result of the CMB-HQ-1 well has clearly changed that view and additionally, is likely to significantly aid Arrow's case to secure regulatory approval to bring the huge natural extension of the Oso Pardo field within Arrow's existing license for the asset.

apeman, the annual capital budgets aren’t just created from thin air; the business model is to reinvest nearly all projected cashflow in order to increase production and reserves. So yes, it will be fully funded from cashflow.

The aggressive capital program us $45 million I believe, how will this be funded? Can it be done with free cash flow?

Apologies to lth, I have just seen this today and am intrigued but so far have done next to no research

Good post sums it up nicely. no debt great net backs prolific reservoir.
Should be able to build on that cash flow now and could even be good for Divi`s next year..

Spectacular initial result from CNB-HZ-1 - not only well beyond the most optimistic modelled expectation but as good as the best horizontal wells drilled in the Llanos basin by the leading independents....further validation of the huge potential of horizontal drilling onshore Colombia.

Great when a plan comes together - congratulations to the management.

At current production of 3,600 and netback of $56 (as per Q1 results) - I believe the company is generating cashflow of around $203,000 per day.

And this should get better as more HZ wells are brought online and other wells are produced more aggressively now water handling is being put in place.
