29/3/2024 12:18 | Spot on xow. And if they had reinvested the jv money with more thought they may have had more income from production now or royalties. The one off dividend, although finally giving shareholders something back, probably wasn't the best use of those funds and they managed to screw up the sentiment with that anyway. As for what happened to the rest of it apart from buying some gold. | soulsauce
29/3/2024 12:02 | with reference to recent posts above, here's an excerpt from 23100: ...this secures cashflow for aau for 10 years and quite likely longer. stab in the dark i'd say we could see 35k from tavsan across the two processing sites and 15k ongoing from kizil and satellites. so twice the nominal number suggested, approaching 3-fold increase on current production. that provides plenty of cash to progress the other projects and perhaps a regular dividend. i'd like to think the divi would start q2/q3 2025. now, what's happening elsewhwere in the aau portfolio? who knows but until its confirmed differently i still reckon ks is lining up dokwe for a sale followed by a special divi. | konil
29/3/2024 11:38 | None of their investments have increased physical production to date and they don't market the company by providing meaningful production forecasts so the share price can't respond (the only action they have taken in the last 3 1/2 years that has affected production was reducing attributable production by selling down to 23.5%). Dividends aren't the only way. If they can show that reinvesting the profits when Tavsan comes online into buinesses that will grow production in the near-term AND they market it properly the share price will rise. I don't believe they currently have the skillset for the marketing, which should be the easiest part Dokwe, if it happens, will need funding, so that takes dividends out for the forseeable future if we wish to reach a meaningful holding, as will further investments into 100% owned Turkish prospects (how long are we going to wait?). | xow98
29/3/2024 11:18 | I would like to see quite a bit more than £500K used for dividends, with 2 mines up and running there should be enough fot reinvestment and also a reasonable dividend. Otherwise how are we ever going to see a return on our investments? The share price never seems to respond to any investments the company makes. Dividends are the only way. | paul280i
29/3/2024 09:53 | Dockwe and the Hertica drilling that Newmont are so very interested and involved in.. | shortarm
29/3/2024 09:21 | I agree with kaos. Kerim, and more importantly the partners that have little or no shareholders, have seen that developing a new mine with income from a current mine and without the need for a bank loan has worked even if it has slowed things down somewhat. Therefore it is quite possible that funds from Tavsan/Kiz will be used to fund Salinbas. The saving grace is that the building of said mine (if it happens) will be some years hence and all that will be needed is our share of more drilling. At th next Q&A it is up to the large shareholders to tie Kerim down to some vision on a dividend as paying a dividend will work through to a stronger share price and if there is no vision to pay a divvy then it would be right for some to use their money elsewhere. It would be nice to know a plan though (ahhh the Gantt charts again). I think Ariana needs to give shareholders a vision of what is core and non-core in the portfolio. Of course we could sell our holding in Salinbas. Btw weren't we expecting something from Dockwe before now? | soulsauce
29/3/2024 09:15 | Indeed, dividends are always mentioned. | shortarm
29/3/2024 08:44 | Happy with that kaos3, should it happen, but am content to also believe there will be some put aside for divis next year and onwards, initial £500k p.a. should do it. | thanksamillion
29/3/2024 07:15 | they will invest all the dripping cash into salinbas .... cash gone to the mine development and when that is done cash will go into leopard and on and on and on .... like latest afrika , kosovo, apliki cash will not be lost but invested and GONE | kaos3
29/3/2024 07:08 | I haven't said anything about losing. I made a sarcastic comment about the lack of movement in the share price whilst gold forges ahead. | dixi
28/3/2024 22:06 | The company will be dripping with cash in a year or so. Where do you think they will lose all that? | charles clore
28/3/2024 22:00 | AAU 2.23 lol! | dixi
28/3/2024 21:48 | Gold 2,233. | xow98
28/3/2024 17:15 | Lovely update earlier this week, clearly adding value and longevity to the business. There's more to a business than simply a reserves report, but the report was limited to just that. There's still a few unknowns under the bonnet, like cost projections, Roc, and of course what's going on with Venus? However, we can't have it all if the bod don't want to tell us, so we'll have to be happy with the tiny crumbs they feed us...and yes I said "us" as I dipped my toe in recently as 1.5p seemed reasonable. | excellance
28/3/2024 16:13 | Nice update this week, gold flying, this should be flying high now but something's holding this back. What do they know that we don't? Come on, out with it... | excellance
28/3/2024 15:55 | I suspect a large buy trade has occurred, to be reported in a while as the price paid for the last two purchases (few mins ago) went from 2.28 to 2.4 in 7 mins. Unless they some sort of B&B or Broker trades. | thanksamillion
28/3/2024 15:23 | Gold 2215 in case that cheers anyone up? | shortarm
28/3/2024 14:57 | We are at a tipping point. The regulators, market makers, brokers, family offices...everyone. Start doing your job, fairly, or you will kill the goose dead. (Should have added BoDs to the list) | xow98
28/3/2024 14:10 | I really don't know Charles I am just trying to understand why the company operates in this counterintuitive way. | soulsauce
28/3/2024 13:53 | That was how the richest woman in the world made her money. Except filling empty ships on return journeys | bigglesbingham
28/3/2024 13:53 | Share price down for personal reasons, Soul? There may be something in that. | charles clore
28/3/2024 13:46 | A lot of delistings recently (a few listed below). Need to get Market Cap up, don't trust these markets or BoDs Shanta gold - take private at bargain price. Bidstack - theft via prepack liquidation. Sondrel delist: C4XD delist: Itsarm delist; Byotrol delist: Molecular energy delist: | xow98
28/3/2024 13:33 | I am comforted/sheltered a little by the performance of my holding in a Physical Gold fund, not that the share price under performance here dosen't hurt, it does, but i'm in for the long term so current sad performance of aau suits my top up on the dips strategy. As a poster here said earlier a 10 year period of profits ahead of us, and little risk on downside. Looking ahead to next year, a regular dividend stream will help correct the situation a lot.... should it happen. GLA | thanksamillion
28/3/2024 13:11 | This Bod is way too comfortable. Somebody has to go to breathe new life / market savviness into it for the benefit of shareholders. | xow98
28/3/2024 13:08 | Yes, it's not a good look is it dixi especially when you tag it on to the total lack of promotion of the new mine. Is it just that he doesn't care, totally oblivious or keeping the share price down for personal reasons 🤔 | soulsauce |
