Market cap of 17m vs annual profit next year of around 12m..Cannot continue but if it does the dividends will be a high percentage!

The company is doing really well with another gold mine coming on streamShortly and lots of other irons in the fire! The shareprice does not reflect this currently and that is the actual problem. Unless you are a buyer :-)

The JV and Covid have given the BoD the opportunity to run Ariana the way they want to. They don't need to bother with pesky shareholders for money and they can indulge their own preferences without having to do many of the real tasks of building a $500m company.

The BoD showed their inexperience (euphemism) with their handing of the special dividend - it took a very long time and in the end did not achieve its objective of placating the shareholders for their loss. It is difficult to believe they have the competence to expand the company. I may not know how to run a business but then again I am not being paid to do so.

Too much optimism perhaps. Too much faith the Board will keep shareholders updated on important progress and developments. Too much faith that the Board give a toss about investors. If only we knew the Starvest situation. Are the AAU shares being released in dribs and drabs? Nothing being done to woe them. Is a buy out possible at this depressed value?

Looks like I am gonna be eliminated from that list too! 500k sells abound, someone with too much money doesn't care and is just letting go..

No Plasybryn hence the lack of Gantt charts. They are that opaque with certain news that they cover themselves from needing explanation.
All you need to know is never believe a timeline.
But it should serve as a pointer to the length of time to the next production after Tavsan.

I was listening to an Edison interview with Kerim ( you can find it on Youtube) which took place 8 years ago. Kerim said then that Tavsan would be in production in a few years. Eight years is not a few years in my book. The delay cannot just be blamed on the few environmentalists. Why has it taken so long? Have they ever explained why?

Kenilworth- Apliki, not sure if that was ever on a production schedule. I mentioned Tavsan because of the delay caused by the court appeal. But yes, I think some were pinning their hopes on Cyprus.

Plas - I'm still trying to work out where (and if) it all went wrong. I'm afraid I can't believe KS would let his loyal shareholders down. There must be a reason for the lack of updates and it may be as simple as assay delays. KS is renowned for his dislike of misleading newsTavsan aside, there hasn't been a shred of bad news or failure of any of the projects. We all used to complain about the bucket shop fundraises but there hasn't been one of those for several years. Since Kiziltepe went into production and Ozaltin came on the scene the company has been self funded and has even paid a special divi to shareholders. So I think we should have faith in the boss and wait for news, which I feel will exceed our expectations.

I agree. Once something becomes over sold and glaringly cheap, buyers can cause a dramatic sharp correction upwards. It is just a matter of reaching that point where FOMO and collective awareness of value causes sustained buying - a lets all pile in moment.

5 year AAU log chart showing EMA's and 14 day RSI.
This is currently the most AAU has been oversold in the past 5 years. You usually get a bounce in the share price after it's been oversold, but not always. Of course the share price could get even more oversold before the RSI starts to rise again.
Could be worth a punt, especially when the Gold price starts to rise on it's journey to make new highs again.
